Aengus Elven god of Luck

Description: Aengus is an allarounder. An effective holy word (priest), increased spell-regen (wizards) and confuse-immu (warriors) are a powerful combo, especially for low level. The price to pay is denied detonation (no create bomb) and great troubles with acid/poison (Elves don't like "dirty" stuff). Real useful special-prayers for high levels are missing too.

Attacktype(s): Slow, Confusion
Resistance(s): Confusion +100
Vulnerable: Acid -15, Poison -30
Attuned: Missiles
Repelled: n/a
Denied: Detonation
Special: Spell_Regen +1, Luck +2, Stealth

Granted Spell(s): Conflict (medium level), Defense (medium level)
Altar Effect(s): Remove Damnation, Remove Curse, Enchant Weapon (medium)
Holy Relic(s): Aengus's Elven Bow (Medium, meaning you need 300/150 grace to get it. It is unusable as of yet though.)
Avatar: 1x1, 350 hp, ac -7 wc -1 dam 40 armour 50 Attacktypes: Confusion, Physical

Just where the flip IS this God's shrine.

And if he's the God of Elvish Luck, where's all our elves? Astri doesn't count.. they're sorta just lumberjacks.

I found it. It's just to the right of the Tourny Castle. Rather poorly placed if you ask me. He isn't as good as I thought he'd be either... Then again, I don't know jack shiznit about Gods...

I didn't know you couldn't Relics until today. Stupid game... :grrr:

Anyways, I think some changes to Aengus should be made. For example, his attunement to Missile Weapons should be more apparant... I know not all of the Gods are "up" yet when it comes to features, but Aengus is really missing out. In almost any other world there's a Luck God, and it's the one most Thieves pray to. I "play" an Elvish Thief and I'd like to have my God not be asleep all day.

Or maybe he's awake and I just don't know what he's doing... Oh well either way.

1) When the frick do I learn conflict?!?!?!

2) This is the guy to pray to if you need to enchant stuff, i got 3 things enchanted in less then 4 minutes!

3) "Elven God of Luck" Yah, umm...we dont have a luck stat, if we did it would be the % of times we get a critcal hit blown, and like the better treasure you find from monsters you beat...just a suggestion.

1) No other God except Balor gives a spell/prayer

2) What does Aengus give to your weapon?

3) If you read a scroll of perceive self you will find information about yourself. I asked Stefan and he said luck determines if you fail a scroll, and whatnot. A couple of other things too that I can't remember right now.

Ok thanks DX, the Aengus wepons add 1 damage I saw, and add Slay Goblin and Slay Troll, and if its a melee wepon it adds Confusion and slow to the attack types

Also, would a rod of percieve self work?

"You hands glow red." is the confusion buff... it ups your confusion resist by like 50% and lets you do confusion damage until it runs out.

its 150 grace that you get it at

the stats are sweet too
it has luck+2 and wc+2, and a few others as well

and excellent accuracy as well

No, they do not receive luck. Being posessed by him does, granting you his luck+2, I believe.

Dunno, but the mana regen is so SWEEEET, you regen mana almost as fast as you loose sustance ;P

Mana regen makes you lose sustinence... >.> anyway... sp regen caps off at aroung 1-1.5 sp per second... which is pretty lame...
