This system is pending, it's just a rough idea. The classes are also sketchy, they may change as well. What do you think?
Path of Knowledge - Wizard, Necromancer, Priest
Path of Power - Barbarian, Knight, Thief
Each class has 8 feats that can be learned. You will be able to pick 4 out of the 8 feats, when you reach certain levels. You can no longer access them. There's 8 sub-classes, so that is 48 learnable feats. Each character will only be able to learn a maximum of 24 feats.
For example, you choose the class Knight. You can use the Knight's [Sword Technique] skill at any time, as long as you're a Knight. If you change your class and decide to start learning the Thief or Wizard's feats, you would still have the exp. for the Knight when started back, you can use any feats, you do not have to be the class to use them. They've already been learned. Class Skill's use magic to be performed and they are learned much differently. To use a class skill, you must be that class at the time, unless you've reached level 10 with that class and mastered it. Once it has been mastered, the Class Skill will show up on the battle menu at any time, even if you are another class. This is how you learn all of the Class Skills!
Lv 1
Lv 2 (Choose 1st feat; 1/8)
Lv 3
Lv 4 (Choose 2nd feat; 1/7 [-1 already learned])
Lv 5
Lv 6 (Choose 3rd feat; 1/6 [-2 already learned])
Lv 7
Lv 8 (Choose 4th feat; 1/5 [-3 already learned])
Lv 9
Lv 10 (Learn Class Skill; [Knight: Sword Technique])
Following this procedure, you will now have not only mastered the Knight class, but earned 4/8 possible Feats. These can be accessed from the Feats menu and consume no magic, but you must type in the right keys to initialize the attack. For example, you choose the "Serpent Spin" feat, a message would appear above your character and you would have to type it in a certain amount of time before it would be too late. The numeric values are randomly generated. The more powerful/useful the skill is, the long the required code will be. This is what the code would like above you, in a graphic form, using your keyboard and quick wit you could perform the attack; (Up, Down, A, Down, C, C, Left, X).
To learn new skills, these are found in Class Skills, such as the Knight's [Sword Techniques] skill. You must visit masters or trainers and become their apprentice and you will be awarded with new skills. |
