I did this at one point, while it was hilarious it's unfair to prevent certain players from things, even if they have unfair advantages.

I'd like to see something like another idea I threw out, where bullet damage can scale up percentages when you hit players who are within certain lag thresh-holds. If someone has double the limit, they'd take double the damage from your bullet for example. (700ms is utterly ridiculous, you'd probably not even be able to move at this point)

Anyway yeah, this is the only game I know of where cheating/having a bad connection is advantageous or rewarded.

I say cheating cause some cases are blatantly obvious. For example, Dusk lives 15 miles away from me and in recent days has been playing with double my ping. Angla's lag is blatantly controlled as well; if there is a limit for spar, 300 to play? He will be 290 without jitter. Go to a raid without limits? He won't drop under 600, ever.

I tried a bunch of things the other day to modify my ping. And something as simple as downloading a game on steam gave me a constant 360 ping I could control by changing the priority of Steam in task manager. After setting it to low I was 310-320 effectively for the duration of the download. Which allowed me to win a handful of events with about 20% effort. (I would sit in a corner and let people tie with me... I always won the tie due to this delay) Borrowing a 25 damage gun like most of these laggers only made this range of 'tie' wider for every bullet. They seem to be professionals at this lagging.

Overall, this is on Stefan's end though. While there's a handful of these professional laggers, most of us have had increased pings every-time the server has been changed.
