Remove the loading song.

Everytime I start Graal on facebook I hear that incredibly annoying song. I have music disabled because I don't want to hear it but it still plays since the options load after you select a server.

I polled a small bit of the community about how they felt and they seem to agree that they too are annoyed by it.

It's not a huge deal but everytime I start facebook graal it does get on my nerves, causing me to completely mute my sound until I am ingame (even then, sometimes the song will keep going even if music is unchecked).

I find it to be a strange choice for a loading song, it seems a bit like elevator music rather than something that builds up the game (albeit not much to build up).

The song can easily be changed but is meant to not annoy... It is played before the game is started so its not easy to remember that it should be turned off.

I think perhaps the main issue with it is that, say if you are listening to music or on Skype and loading the game, there is no way really to silence it. In my opinion, a silent loading screen would be better, and when the game loads, the sound controls in the profile take over.

Completely agree with Skyld.
I don't hate the song, but it really shouldn't be played during start-up.
Maybe make a "Don't play music during start-up" option in profile?
But even then, it wouldn't of loaded the data from the server by then to know preferences.

maybe add some local storage config file to the computer your on that says whether or not the player wants the song muted, and if they put yes in an option, then it won't play.

...or just an option. 99% of Facebook players probably wouldn't understand a config file.

what I meant was players set an option with a checkbox or someting which then stores a config file with their option on the computer.

problem is the song plays before the Graal client itself finishes loading. It would need to be programmed into the actual client.

When I load Graal I have to press mute, which also mutes whatever awesome tunes are playing on digitally imported, wait for it to finish loading, and then unmute. The funny thing is that 1/4 of the time it bugs and the song will keep looping after it's loaded even though it's unchecked.

I tried posting a thread about how to block the song but Stefan didn't like the idea.
Anyway, find the site where the music is held at then clear your cache then add it to your hosts file.So it should look lil.
