What makes a NPC fun for you?

For example, a rare item on Unholy Nation such as a flame thrower looks pretty terrible no offense the the graphic maker. Honestly, its fun but I don't like wearing it. I will pretty much accept anything that cool enough to be asked by noobs, WHERE THE **** DID YOU GET THAT? So.. ya..

Actual purpose, and I don't mean being annoying. I mean having a legit purpose on the server, either questing, PKing, usefulness... so on. And within all those factors, balance.

I don't see an appeal in any items on Unholy Nation aside from hats. Don't play N-Pulse, never have.

From my few seconds there the other day, I saw an NPC being used much like the ones on UN -- changing ganis and such of other players.
