i've played UN for about 9 years now and never got problems until last year, now i cant even get on. hm.

It sounds like it may be an ISP problem, and a link failure to the North American server Era and UN are on, you can try port forwarding TCP Port 14882 (The port in which connects to Era). Try a free VPN service like Hotspot Shield, but note that you may lag quite a bit more because of it.
