I don't really see how what you posted was a viable reason for the amount of moderation that this forum has and Moon Goddess replied to what I said with a really irrelevant point, and generally on forums when somebody replies to you (unrelated or not) you reply back.

okay, why does a very small section of the forums need 5 moderators?

the whole development section as rufus said has no moderators whatsoever, but yet we have 5 for one subforum?

this doesnt make sense to me.

You'll find the answer as to why the 5 moderators have their moderation rights on the 3rd post of this thread.

Can either of you please explain to me how "Vulcan never moderates anything really lol." justifies the need for five moderators? What about the administrators, why aren't they moderating the forum by themselves, after all it's a tiny area of the forum and doesn't exactly take a huge amount of effort to spot "bad" posts? How about the stickying of events, I mean how does that even make sense when you've just posted some rules and stuck them up? I see no problem with Supernanny he does a good job, but again why is there a need for five moderators of this forum section?

It's not as though it's supplying to meet a demand, and that is what seems to be the logic in it. Supplying to meet a demand, where as other forums are neglected for no reason.

Rufus, if you have a problem with...
...Me using moderation rights for Event Purposes and moderating posts.
...Dante/Dan useing moderation rights for Administion purposes and moderating posts.
...Supernanny using moderation rights to moderate posts.
Then forum PM Darlene.

The purpose of this thread seems to be you trying to point out that other sections of the forums don't have enough moderation.

Well I never said it needs 5 moderators, I just gave you the reasons as to why we had rights.

I don't have a problem with any the moderators of this section individually, I just don't see why there is a need for five of them when other sections have none. Why is this so hard to grasp?

Since when was it the job of a moderator to keep the forums alive? The community keeps the forums alive, the moderates simply moderate the posts for content that stretches the bounds of the forum rules. You're linking the inactivity of the forums to a lack of moderation, which is like comparing apples to oranges--it doesn't make any sense. If a certain section of the forums isn't active, then it doesn't need moderators.

Does this section need 5 moderators? No. Does it make a difference? No.

The moderators of this section of the forums have nothing to do with any other part of the forums, so if you'd like to see moderators added to other parts, then you're going about it completely wrong. Besides, again, your reasons for wanting moderation are invalid, for that is not the job of a moderator.

If you want other parts of the forums to become active again, then start posting in those sections. There's no point on sticking moderators in sections of the forums that receive little to no posts on a daily basis.

Rufus your question has been answered, I've told you why we have our moderation rights. I'm closing the thread, its in the wrong spot of the forums anyways.

I don't think we need to close this thread. I've moved it to the main forum.

Zone has 5 moderators and I don't see any problem why not. The zone forum is an active forum and it had always a lot of spam and flame threads/posts. The GK forums also have many mods (for every kingdom e.g.).
We have moderators for almost dead forums like Bomy Island (one mod) or New Scripting Engine (3 mods).
What's the problem having 5 moderators as long as they doing their job? I appreciate it, if server staff is also moderator staff and being able to make a forum active.
