Do you even understand how the people are abusing it? On Windows, when you push Esc, your client gets frozen and no scripts are processed. Baddies etc. keep attacking you while you dont get damaged, while your friends kill it off. Scripted Esc button instead of default Windows stuff would be way better.

You're right. I didn't even take that into consideration. It's a complicated situation. Stefan should fix it immediately; I can only imagine how it could be abused on other servers.

He should at least make a command for the server options such as "escdisabled=true/false", if he's not going to be fixing the actual client for awhile.

Exp should be logged anyways, just remove the exp they gained from the abuser. If you can't do this then I don't think you're doing good enough somewhere.

Great idea. Much better than jailing everyone.

Yea, every MMORPG out there that has an EXP-based system would certainly log it, Zodiac should be no different.

I don't know if you already have a log of people that are pressing ESC in dungeons, but you could script something that detects the people that do it more than "x" times and put them in a separate log. Also have it search the entire party and find people that commonly are in parties that abuse it.

Whatever you want to do them is entirely up to you, but I'd bust out the mighty banhammer, or threaten them with an account reset.

Which is why you probably won't be the manager of Zodiac anytime soon.

Once again, read the thread.

I quit Zodiac.

However, it's all logged. I personally prefer the no dungeon entry for an hour.

Meh, it's not really an unheard of thing. Most major online games have zero tolerance for abusing anything that gives a player an unfair advantage over another.

I know Graal isn't a huge online game, but it's the principle of the matter. If you're knowingly abusing the system you should be warned, and then severely punished upon continuation.
