Zol's Toilet Quest Released

This dungeon was suppose to be non-linear compared to the help tasks which are more simple. It's true we'll need to achieve some sort of balance in the complexity of the dungeons for them to be fun yet challenging, but I don't really think we want to cop out and just add arrows to the next place you are suppose to enter or something like that lol.

I didn't enjoy it all that much, I got glitched with the torch and the gameplay itself was boring and extremely aggravating (much like most Graal quests, unfortunately I hoped this one would be different).

The rats would spawn right next to the entrance of a room and the layout was confusing.

Same. I jumped down the hole where you push the block down while the water was not drained, and it caused me to be unable to get back up without dying and walking back.

It was a tad confusing, but I really liked it. Its unique because of the different baddies and setup of the dungeon not seen on many classic servers. The boss was kind of annoying, every time I went to go hit him a rat would spawn in my way or green slime would land on me... but overall I would give it an A. I got aggravated when I died a lot, because I had to walk so far to get back (Maybe thats just lazy me)

I attempted doing all the quest with downsider and enjoyed them but when it came to Zol's Pub I ended up logging off during the quest because in my opinion there was no sense of direction and those rats were wayy too annoying. I enjoy a challenge and long draw out quest with direction. I did however enjoy everything prior to this quest.

That must be one gaping toilet to fall into.

Anyways, it wasn't a bad quest, and better than most other graal quests I've seen, but I agree with the others in saying it was a bit confusing. For example, the 2nd to last room before you get to the boss -- really no indication that you had to kill all the rats in the level to get the key since the rats are in every level lol. The rat boss was also more of a chore/annoyance than a challenge.

the rat boss remind me of the octopus from ocarina of time

I know right? If you just look at what your doing you can obviously see what your suppose to do. Quests like that are more fun anyways because it separates the noobs from the actual "players".

Its not officially the first quest, but the first dungeon/boss. I mean look at Zelda from N64 that was a great game but you really had no guidance.

So I guess that fairy was just my imagination.. Anyway, there's something in game design called signposting. It's subtle hints to tell you what to do, unobtrusive ones. This quest has some, but I didn't realize that they were intimating something about what I should do until I actualy did it. That's a complete signposting fail.
