I have one of the latest cell phones released, with a no-limit SIM-card. Heck, I even have broadband on my phone. I tried using my old crappy cell phone too, and my moms AND my friends cell phone - everytime it said that it could not be sent, as if the number was invalid.
The phones I tried from have different operators, but they all had the two biggest providers in Sweden - 3 (yes, three) and Telia.

Exactly. Money simply gets removed from your phone SIM-card.

Impossible to my knowledge.
