Hi, I'm really sorry to anyone that was offended by the event message. It was my fault and I take full responsibility for it. It was a joke between me and a friend, and it shouldn't have gone farther than that. If need be, take my Events Team tag away because I realize how unacceptable it was. Again, I'm sorry to anyone that I offended.

The event is a survival event and is in no way intended to represent the holocaust. The ET has been removed and I will look into adding pre-made event messages so that this doesn't happen again in the future.

When I created an improved version of the Event System classes sometime last year, it included a variable for the Event Name for specific purposes such as if an event name was ____ then these things aren't usable: ________. Perhaps you should somehow join to that in EVERY event, not just the ones I put them in, or take a leaf out of that book and have a variable in the announcement command (or even an ET "Hosting" GUI) in which messages cannot be manually set, and the default announcement is
"<Event Name> is being hosted by <Host>! Prize: <Prize entry>. Player limit: <1-unlimited>", etc.

I think the "Gas Chamber!" sign is equally as offensive as what the ET announced, is that the actual name of the event?

I don't agree with you at all. The event is simply a chamber, FULL OF GAS, and explosions and the last one out gets the event coin. It simply describes the event. No point to anything in history, get over it.

I don't know, but personally I don't think it's appropriate. It's like having a Bulldog event disguised as players running to and from air raid shelters to avoid bombings, just seems uncomfortable as a platform for an event.

On that note,
The entire concept and name of the event is questionable. I mean, "Gas Chamber" doesn't ring many other bells. I think the entire event should be removed, its insulting, and ignorant.. and that's coming from me.

On another note,

That is rather stupid to do, it could be renamed Survival Chamber or something. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Jewish players might take offense to it.
