Lag problems.

For some reason, my Graal client is lagging on multiple server. It's the kind of lag that makes your character move slowly. I've used a Windows Vista computer for a year, and it ran fine with Graal for many months after I found out Graal doesn't lag when I don't use fullscreen, or a Graal screen close to it. Now, all of a sudden, Graal is lagging again for me, and I'm not at all sure why.

I think a few other people have this problem. I mainly lag is populated areas, or areas with a lot of NPCs (like lights). Examples of these places are the UN and Zodiac event centers.

The rest of my computer seems to be running absolutely fine. I haven't noticed slowness in any other program.

Anyone have any suggestions for me?

Graphics card, probably. Can you post the specs on that? It just sounds like your computer can't handle lots of effects and people, this is either your graphics card or low specs overall. Post them?

Go to start > run > dxdiag

The system tab and display tab are of interest.
Specifically:
system: Processor
system: Memory
display: chip type
display: total memory

Will be a little bit easier to help once we get your specs though. Do what Dusty posted above.

This?

Also, Crono, your suggestion semi-worked. I still have lag, but not as much.

My laptop ocassionally has FPS drops too. I did that my laptop but it still happens now and then. It does fix the Vista screenshot issue so that's a plus, although I don't know why CYBERJOUEURS DOESN'T MAKE GRAAL MORE COMPATIBLE WITH VISTA HI IT'S 2009.

Are you also using Vista 32bit? I'm beginning to think Graal just runs like **** on Vista 32bit but somehow works with 64bit, because that's what my PC and other Vista users on Graal seem to be using.

I don't have 64 bit, but I have 16bit, but that really didn't change much.
I've used to same settings, ran the same programs, and stuff for months and haven't had problems until recently o_o

I meant your Windows version but you probably have 32bit (not the same as color, lol).

Have you ran ad-aware and such?

Lol, if it's not about color I don't know what you're talking about xD
Like I said, I'm nooby with computers :P
But yes, I have. It apparently deleted a lot of things, but nothing helped my lag.

That should be enough for Graal.

Do you know how to update your graphic drivers?

Nope.

Btw, I really do appreciate the help guys.

Edit: I noticed whenever I load Graal, my computer's fan (that cools it) starts making noise, like my computer is being strained.

Hope that bit of info might help any conclusions.
