Delay on Reapers too long?

Am I the only person who thinks that the delay on the Reapers is too long? I' use them a lot and seems like the delay is just too long on them. Swinging and shooting... Candy Reapers are almost as good as normal Reapers. Anyone agree with me that the delay should be lowered...?

Well, Its good like this i think.. And no, Reapers have more DMG then Candy Reapers.
This is better then the first system, Now u just win them and have them for a month. Now they can host more Event Weapons because u dont have them for ever. The Point> More people can get Event Weapons (Red Pistols, Blue Pistols, Reapers)

The delay is fine, it's still faster than switching from two-handed gun to a melee weapon, isn't it?

The delay is a bit too long, but only slightly. Perhaps speed it up by a few tenths/hundredths of a second? It's an incredibly rubbish weapon at the moment, to be honest.

However, just because I mentioned speeding it up, doesn't mean you turn it into some automatic chaingun-style claw-gun.

I have seen people use reapers well. Just get skills. You don't need this game getting any lamer then it already is (boxing doors, proxing doors, laming spawn bases, mousing etc)

You are comparing methods such as immobilizing individuals, by boxing them in, to something so minute as decreasing the freeze time on a rubbish event weapon by a few tenths or even hundredths of a second?

The melee attack is already pretty weak compared the the sabre and now with the chainsaw.

The whole awesome behind reapers is not "omgstrong", it's "omgI have a rifle and a melee weapon out at the same time".

It doesn't need to be strong, you just need to be able to go from strafing and shooting to lagging and slashing in no time at all

It already is weak. It takes 4 swipes with it to kill someone. Thats like 20 damage each time for a trial. 5 swipes for a p2p I guess.

Which is why you stand back and shoot them repeatedly before slashing. Because that's the point of mixing a gun with a sword.
