New Arca

hey, we recently created a thread about arca, but it started with us getting flamed for the old GUI, so that was really not how i wanted Arca seen :P

Since then we made a few more updates to show, so here's a new thread.

One new thing created is the shop system,

Another screenshot of the test level we have, except we got rid of the old GUI and created a brand spanking new one.

We did start work on the dungeons, but only slapped up an edit of the walls and some ice tiles.

Alot more detail and work will be put into the ice dungeon, spikes, chunks of ice, holes in the ice, ice breaking through the brick walls and more :P

Progress might slow down a bit, as my VIP as just ran out and im not really jumping to buy another.

But i hope you like what you see

For some reason to me saying SELL then BUY (not the other way around: BUY and then SELL) is the odd way of doing it.

It's really nice. The shop GUi is amazing.

I really like how the grass tiles and path tiles have been made.. they look so unique.

Awww nuts, i put Notice instead of Novice >.< typo

Also, yea it is a bit plain at the moment, lots more detail to come, trees, detail on the building, big bushes and so on. It wont feel so bare when we release.

Plus this is the countryside tileset, got the city one in the making also, ^_^

Not sure if anyones too bothered anymore, but Arca is still going, loads of nice content, but my gold/vip and server ran out at the same time, so its slowed us down alot.

I like the tileset style a lot. I'm not sure about proportionality in comparison to the player though, the buildings look gigantic. Perhaps that's just a matter of personal taste, though.

As I said, it's perhaps a matter of personal preference. The tiles are attractive, but there is a lot of empty open space in the level, of which I'm not a particular fan. I also realize it's a test level, so there's probably much to be added.

Hopefully i dont get rat packed because i bumped the thread, but Arca is still underway, and the quality is getting better everyday :P Im still sticking too it, ahhh.

But we are in desperate need of a gani artist and maybe some chatty people with awesome ideas around the server? Bring the place to life a bit more :P

The server looks familiar. Atleast the graphics and tileset. Not from any "graal server" but from somewhere else.

Would be a cool feature if you had to "buy" more octagon spaces if you wanted more weapons or more items to hold.

ohh thats a neat idea :O

And i was thinking that the spaces actually click together in certain catagories and they move them around in that to the players comfort, so they favourite weapon may be at the dead middle so they can get into weapons are and whack the sword out or something :P

and why i chose octos, i thought they would fit together more interesting and pleasing to the humans eye can squares or circles ^_^

I like the octagons. I was actually thinking of doing something similar at one point, just to make something different.
