Complete Aspects of a Server

Hello all,

I cannot tell you much about my project yet (some of you know from me talking to you personally) but I plan on making a playerworld. I need y'alls help with something, though. I am going to create a very informative design document, and I want to know what YOU want to see in a server, as well as basic things that should be in a server (I have a good idea of what those are, but I want to make sure I leave nothing out)

If you could, please list all aspects of a server that you notice, so that it can help me create a thorough document.

I appreciate your help.

The number one thing I'd like to see in a server is completion of the project!

Hmm. Get lots of guns, swords, have an HP system, the hookshot and don't forget kingdoms/nations.

I want to see quests. Quests that mean you have to trek from one place to another to complete. I want quests in the style of Hera's Tear quests

There are still some who will help. you just have to patiently wait for those people, and ignore the ones who don't.

I am going with Codein. Quests that take you all over the world to complete are great. No kill the baddies stuff, but quests where you have to use your brain instead of your s key. Quests that make you learn.

I also like a leveling system, and classes, but there should be more to it then killing monsters till you get to a certain point to level.

And really good weapons, spells, and toys.

Sea battles
or replace normal sea ships into those air ships from final fantasy

and make different Professions to upgrade the ships to make them stronger faster or whatever....

well this is never going to happend anyways... to bad :9

Well, expecting to be flamed, the server will most likely be modern based.
(To answer your question Smirt)

But these ideas are still good, keep them coming. There most likely will not be a leveling system, but quests will be much more complex than the norm and I plan on using boats/sea as a large aspect of it (Won't be able to swim from island to island, pay a boat toll fee or save up enough money to buy your own boat).

modern based, i always liked the idea of living a usual life on graal, having Police ran by players and such.

Just a simple player ran city, buy an apartment or house and live. Or become a criminal, but there should be harsh punishments if people want to do that, otherwise everyone will do it.

good example, bravo evolved, the whole collection car parts from the nuclear plant and the ghost house, then going back to the one place. That was THE best.

Well, I was basically asking the same thing as Smirt but in a more cynical, sarcastic and snide way. Sorry! It's just annoying as we get a lot of people coming on these forums asking others to give them free ideas when they don't even have a single bit of foundation set (like a theme/genre).
