Weird Problem.

I got on to Ol'West today and I noticed something wrong. For some reasons I could walk across buildings and was randomly floating in the water and sitting in chairs.

I soon figured out that my head and body and hat were floating about 25 tiles above my shadow. I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else.

It is happening on all of the hosted servers but not any of the other servers (Classic or Playerworld)

Here is a screenie of it just to show you.My shadow is right in the middle of the floor:

That GUI reminds me a bit of the one Haro Developed on Zenkou.

As for that problem. I may have come across it before. You may have gone onto a playerworld where the gani was screwed up and so it overwrote yours.

Yeah, Server Owners need a one-button "Download All to Folder:" option. ONLY server owners, maybe don't even make it an optional right. They can keep a backup of their own dang server, and Stefan can save the overhead of keeping backups on his own machines.

I dont think its the gani, seriously. Know why? It happens to me too, but only with my *Magadal account. I can fix it on Zone with the jetpack, though its bugged on all the other servers. Graal is somewhat around unplayable for me right now, because my other acc (*Crow) is also bugged, because the body attribute is somehow reset all the time I connect to a playerworld.

Is that screeny taken on Zenkou? If not I think those are Zenkou's tiles :-p

Some script has modified the z of the player. It is best to reset the z value at login, do player.z = -51 or so because only values between -50 and +170 are allowed, everything else resets it to the default behaviour where the z is matching the terrain height.

Then do that somehow. It cant be the servers problem Stefan. It happens to me on all the servers, though only with one of my accounts..

Have someone put this in a script for you where you see the problem:

NPC Code:

player.chat = "My player.z is " @ player.z;

Then tell us the result.

Maybe some wierd script on login is doing this to you?

Its 15, all the time. I set it to 0 with a script, and after reconnecting, it was 15 again. Though it only happens with one of my accounts. What the **** is wrong there?x-x

And for me it is only happening on Hosted Servers.

You can't add a script to the Login server, but you can access your Control-NPC to set the player's z when they log on your server.

It happens to me on all the hosted servers, on Zone, Atlantis, N-Pulse and Delteria.
I asked some other peeps, they couldnt see I was floating in the air...
Didnt check out all the u/c playerworlds, I guess it also happens there.

I've heard it's possible to do clientside edits by editing a gani (something like idle.gani) and putting a script in there...perhaps this has happened somehow. (The gani may have been replaced by a server)

I just poped on Graal for a Visit and I had the same problem, I haven't logged on in over a month, and when I went on graal I was up in the air, I asked people if they saw it they said on their screen I was on the ground. I want to know if the problem could have to do with me not logging on for over a month on the account or...?

It's it's affecting more servers than just zone, it's not going to specifically be the zone gani. It's not a gani at all, because it's effecting servers that don't use default gani's as well as those that do. It's some kind of weird bug, I suppose.

Despite insistence that it's "not a gani problem" that's pretty much all it can be if the problem is clientside.

The only thing that is weird about it to me is, I just set my player.z on niromia and for some reason when I logged back on to Zenkou it reseted the z.So now I'm floating again XD

It's Stefan messing with flying technology but only those on his client can see it right

Were you on a jetpack in the air before you logged off? I know on servers like classic, your z value is off when you use your floating boots and relog (you appear under your shadow).

There are no scripts on Atlantis which are changing your z value. And I already said that otheres wont see you floating. They see you standing exactly where your shadow is. And its resetting the z value when relogging, I tried that on Esteria. It will jump back to 15.

Oh, you are the one experiencing both this problem and the body not showing up problem? Maybe you just have a really messed up account?

Are they both happening on the same servers?

Floating problem on my *Magadal account, body problem on *Crow. The body one is happening on all servers. I already said where the floating problem is happening.

I had that problem. I logged on UN to fix it, then went back to Dark Nations and it seemed to be fixed.

Okay, I agree with everyone else saying it's not the ganis. Why?

Look at the pics. See how the PLAYER is in the middle of the screen? Remember that.

Now, if you went on a normal account with the player NOT in the air, you'll see that the player is STILL in the middle of the screen.

Now, that means that it's not the Ganis. Edit the idle Gani (though rename it) and put the body much higher than normal, but keep the shadow the same. Now upload it to a server. The SHADOW will be in the right place, but the body will be UP the screen. That means that it's not the Ganis, if you know what I mean.

I don't think it is memento because i have been there without the problem. I haven't been to horizon though.

Last server I was on before it started was Zone. Lamed by someone, then I logged off. Around 2 hours later I logged back in, and there was the problem...

I have the problem on almost all the hosted servers, and zone. I know its not a major problem but does someone have a guess to what it could be caused by? I just recently logged onto Graal for the first time in a month, and I had the problem. So, could it be some type of script update I missed or...?
