Not really, but what I have been doing is working on an overworld by myself as more of a personal project. What I intend to do is detail a pretty massive overworld by myself, at least for the most-part.

Now the reason for this is a test to myself to see if I can create the nicest world Graal has ever seen.

Playerworld projects generally never get completed as we have seen time and time again so that is why I am making the overworld first because I pray once a submersive world is created scripters will flock to it...hoping to be part of Graal history. Haha just joking on the Graal history part but yea let's get down to it!

Attached is the overworld layout before I generated (25x30). Can you guys please tell me if you think the layout is a wise one? Don't be afraid to dissect it and criticize it until your hearts are black with gutlessness! I have also attached some screenshots of the first city which is pretty much complete. (don't hold me to the specific detail and choppy treetop images it will all mesh fine later on!)

***NOTE***
This is as far as I wanted to go with the generator, much is subject to change ! Also, don't ask for a release date or anything because this is NOT a playerworld project right now, only a personal project thanks.

Not a fan of the name, but I'd get of it.

As for your theory, well, we'll see. I personally think you need levels, graphics and ideas before scriptsers flock

. Case point in example: WanDaMan. He's made about 10 overworlds that I know of so far lol.

The screenshots from the first city don't make it seem like a city. It makes it seem like some sort of forest town. When I think city, I think bustling and quite crowded with shops, houses, people selling things, beggars, etc. You know?

Then why are/were they being used on Maloria?

And on a completely different matter, I'm as much newb as you are on Graal. This account might be new, and I might have "acted" like a "newb" - but I've been here on and off since Zelda Online. Even played Graal in flash, although as late as about 2 years ago. So bite me!

Which is why I get very skeptic when people ask me to finish their OWs lol.

Maybe you didn't throw it out there enough! As I'm making the overworld I am also forming ideas and storylines and I already have a lot planned out. If I would compare what the world will resemble the most in terms of gameplay I would say Link to the Past. Areas of the map won't be available until you gain specific items etc. Lots of questing and adventuring will be involved. So my plan in the end is to have an extremely appealing world with lots of potential over say just detailed levels. The good developers out there should realize that a playerworld done right would bring a lot more old people back to Graal.

That is Faheria's dead tree graphic. Maloria was using it because it is a horrible server and they steal.

Yes i am afraid so. Now-a-days i think the better graphic servers get the better NATs. Because with enough good graphics you can almost make any newb level look good. (notice i said almost) = ) but this project looks really good

Surprisingly enough I have lots of graphics from Faheria that people haven't seen and a whole graphical layout for a civil war mini-game so some gani help would definitely be appreciated. I'm done treeplanting in 3-4 weeks so I will go back on AIM sometime around then to further some progress.
