Talking Lost Pirate History.

Does anybody here remember the reign of the pirate empire?

It was over 2 years ago now and happened almost instantly when Governor Alan steele was crowned.

With the departing of yannick there as so few here now who remember.

Rose..Morwinyon..Sono the archer...Governor Kerith...Crusty...
Atheal and so on ((i forgot others haha))

These names echoes throughout the pirate kingdom and with the new crowning of alan.. The kingdom of crescent pirates rapidly begun to make a name for itself.

I was just a freebooter and only a pirate became a pirate a week earlier and the Governor Alan steele was crowned.
Then came the war with forest and the pirates, then the war with kuriena Joukai now known as samurai.

Those days were constantly action packed with many members online from each side. where have the good old days gone to?

After the wars new characters started to enter the pirate kingdom and morwinyon, our beloved pirate left. New faces such as
Fayt and Felix ((which i convinced to play graal by talking about it at school)) and the notorious ricky steele appeared.
Many others joined.

Pirates presently had a name but with the arrival and increase in pirate popularity we shortly became the strongest naval force the server had ever seen.

Members such as Blue..Sage..Yannick and myself progressed up the ranks to where we are today. Many members married into the steele family also on this and other servers.

Then came more wars..events...battles which eventually lasted to this present day where we have lost nearly all of our members from those days.
Those days used to be so fun and new yet today's graal is no longer the same.

Time has changed this kingdom in so many ways it is unbelievable.
Is there anything we can do to restore the good old days?

((sorry if i missed anyone out, it was long long time ago))

I infact remember the times you are talking about, although I wasn't in CP at the time. I agree GK seems to be losing its roots, I remember when I was amazed at how much happened and what people would do to make it fun but now it seems that people are more concerned about themself then other people and they try to better themself which I understand.. but yeah I support you in trying to restore the good old days. Make a suggestion about what shall be done and i'll follow This is one thing out of all your wild suggestions that I actually want to happen xD

Most the old respected members have left, Blue, Sage, Yannick and so on.
And the new generation don't show much promise. They are mostly people totally oblivious to RPing and say stuff like "Sup dude" in guild messages instead of "Ahoy!"

This is true we need to slap some RP into them.

I'm still hanging around when I can XD. I think I may be making a bit more time for GK if I can. We'll see.

Haha I remember those days. I was playing on my first account (Nimrook) and joined CP as Napkin Brown (lolbestpiratenameever).

And yeah, the new members aren't very good at RPing. What happened to Cid's RP school? Someone should start that again.

I want Cid to come back, it was a big shame when he left. He was so cool and really tried to help the newbies RP. And he was also a Great EM.

Since graal kingdoms shows no current promise of those days returning i do remember we all, the entire kingdom.. met on teamspeak and travelled game to game trying them and sharing them.

Recently this has however stopped and our big online game-surfing clan has stopped.

We should try to get in contact with who was with us then. i remember forest, zormite and even dustarians would travel to ultima online, flyff and warcraft. Even battlefield 2 i sparred a lot of the kingdoms on.

We should try and find the long-lost players such as morwinyon, Taikun, and the other pirate and non-pirates.
While Gk sorts itself out we could travel to some other games for a while and return here later.

I miss the old days like when Ts stopped a Boat race event by blowing up all the people who enterd for the event before it even started.

You know what? I miss the good old days too, my friends. But I'm also willing to give the current crop of members some training and a chance, so that we can make the best of what we have. With active leaders like Fayt, Felix, Proto and Cell and very many exceptional Pirates we have a chance to make these the good old days we reminicse about in a couple of years. When you think about all of the fun we have had recently with the inter-kingdom events, kingdom item events, ceremonies, trivia events and sea battles we still have it pretty good compared to the activity level in most kingdoms. (I just hope we can get some overall GK additions, like the casino maybe, that increase player count so we all have more to do and more people to do it with). So, I'm all for constructive suggestions, but let's not spend too much time cryin in our rum over the good ole days.

I've always said you get out of a kingdom what you put into it, so if you give a lot (of your time or items or whatever) you will get a lot in return. I know that has been true for me. So let's all go participate in Fayt's event and make this one to remember.

And there will be lots more of those to come. Especially when the new spar gets uploaded. We can have a big ceremony there.

I agree, when me and Fayt do kingdom events it really brings out the rp in people and it feels great when peoeple really try hard on the events and make it fun for everyone who is in the event and around them.
