A NAT Test

A few people have come to me and asked if they can be hired as a scripter on the server im developing. And as someone who hasnt got a first clue about gscript i was wondering if there was a test someone has made or could make for scripter tryouts?

There is no single test that everyone uses, and if you don't know anything about scripting then the chances are that you won't be able to accurately review script applications.

You can set up an application asking scripters to send in samples of their best work or you could get specific and ask for certain things to be made. It all really depends on you and how you'd like to approach the situation.

A bit old but still relevant. You could use this or some of it for the first test. Obviously give a custom test to each person so they don't use stolen material

Hours should not be there, you should actually want people who DONT play, and just develop.

Yeah.. Good scripters normally don't need to apply.

Hours shouldn't matter; I don't know a good scripter who actually plays Graal.
Scripters don't generally have 'superiors,' when you consider how rare they are and how powerful gscript is. When a scripter tells you to jump, most people ask 'how high?'

The only real way to test a scripter is to ask them to make you something small.

N-Pulse apparently needed hours in their application. The application can be made to filter out people who have no clue so they don't waste staff members time. Especially if it is a playerworld where people come with stolen scripts then wreck everything .

If they submit a script, remember to ask specific questions about the script. If it is stolen then chances are they won't know.
