RC2 on Kubuntu Linux

Alright, I've extracted the RC2 files, and set the permissions to Run as Executable and Read & Write, but when I click RC, it doesn't do anything.

Anything I need to do? How do I get it working?

I run Ubuntu and mine works. Just extracted, gave rights and it works fine. Did it print like an error log or something in the folder?

Yes I have stefan. I have even installed the dependencies that were required that I was missing (Ex. GTK+, I'm surprised it didn't come with Kubuntu...) and still no results

Also, Twinny, It produced no log at all, it doesn't even run.

Do what I did, install the Gnome thing on Kubuntu

I forget how to do it, on a command line you gotta type in something like

NPC Code:
sudo apt-get ubuntu-desktop

and when its done installing everything that runs on Gnome works o_O

Better in what way? x-x Linux is much easier to customize, more advanced in most ways (GUI etc.), more powerful, more secure... Just don't want that anyone gets the impression from your post that Windows is better

Well for the casual user XP was really **** (all the security problems before SP2). The only problems I see are sometimes bad drivers, and it's harder to get games running. Otherwise things work more smooth (for me), it depends on what you do though. Some games work faster on Windows. But there are things in Windows which I really hate, like the stoneage-NTFS which is so slow when there are many files that it hurts. And you can't replace it.

MAC OS X ON INTEL! WOOOOOO!

Darwin + User Friendly + All the Linux Goodies.

+ Remote Control for whatever ( music, power-point pres, movies, etc etc )

... OS FIGHT!

BTW. Get a Graal for Mac OS X on Intel please? Maybe get Parallels installed on Windows and compile in parallels?

Windows is kind of like an automatic transmission and Linux is more of a standard transmission. If linux had better graphics drivers, i would be perfectly content using linux primarily on my PC. Ubuntu has been the only OS on my Dell Inspiron 6000 since Dapper Drake came out.
