Underconstruction Worlds: Bans

Hi.

I would like to remind GraalOnline that if a world is Underconstruction (UC), as in NOT on the Classic tab or Hosted tab, then those with ban rights do have the right to ban whoever wished for whatever reason.

Stefan once stated this. Of course, if there is some sort of problem with being banned on these UC worlds, then please create a ticket at the GraalOnline Support Center explaining what happened. Please do NOT create forum threads on the GraalOnline Communication Center for bannings. It's also in the forum rules.

Thanks!

Does that mean I can ban Malinko and get away with it?

I am just bringing this up for arguement's sake. Hypothetically, if I reached the 'Hosted' status (or god forbid a server reach the 'Classic' status) why can't I control who I let onto the server through bans? I mean, there are certain individuals who have a poor attitude or whatnot concerning GraalOnline or a playerworld, would I have the power to preemptively ban them from my server? I think I read something about this on a forum somewhere where a playerworld owner could actually ban whomever they pleased since according to the Code of Conduct or the Rules and Regulations banning is left up to the adminstrator's discretion? (and I don't mean a owner bans a person because they have a grudge against them, because of their racial status or whatnot).

[EDIT]Apparently I didn't emphisize my point about banning for 'stupid' reasons (wrong but this shouldn't be restricted), I never questioned that part. I'll make an example, maybe that'll clarify what I meant: Player A has been known to scam items on other servers, and you have the same sort of systems in place as those other servers. Would it be right to ban Player A because he most likely would scam on the server? Or Player B has been known to be disruptive and hurts the atmosphere of the server when they log on, would it be right to ban them?

I never said ban 'them because you can' but why can't we control who logs onto a playerworld, you paid for the playerworld, and you [and your staff team] put the time and effort in to get it as far as Hosted/Classic.

Ehhh... I don't think it's right to ban someone before they even come on your server... But at the first sign of them causing trouble... then yes, you should be able to ban.

Though I mean technically, you should be able to ban whoever you want whenever you want... it's just not very moral to ban someone before they even play your server...

I don't think it would be a good idea to allow the banning to control who a Manager/Owner wants on their server, for whatever reason.
Banning should be a last resort, and/or reserved for repeated, serious, bad behavior, or trainer use.
Remember, people pay for their accounts, and it isn't fair to be able to ban them from a Classic or Hosted PW just because you can...
Some may be able to ban responsibly, but a good amount cannot/do not.

I think allowing people to ban on under construction servers for no reason at all is wrong also.
I think, if they don't want people on the PW, they can block access altogehter, but I don't think it is right to block people individually for stupid reasons.

I agree, but the staff member wanting to ban someone can still lie and put a valid ban comment, although it may be false. And unfortunatly this is done often.

There should always be proof (even though some of that can be faked also ).
