anyone else feel like....it's not "classic" anymore?

i don't like UN either. it's a server full of the same thing to do, oVER AND OVER AND OVER. today i saw this guy turn his body into a door. i was like ...wtf? also, the quests are so whack. they're like 10x + a lot worse than what the old graal quests were.

and good thing you're not gonna put guns rofl

also, i been playing since like.. august 98 (different account though, forgot what it was called but i believe it had either my name or last name it 'cesar' or 'gardea' or cgt or some **** i dunno but who cares)

but as the last guy who posted said..it doesn't take 1 year to make...NOTHING.

i never knew it took 1 year to make big city (if that's what that island up there even is...), and swamp town, and fake snow town, and destiny...

also, what i don't like about classic is that the new LATs are making "new era" levels. me, being an old school player

like to see the old tiles. just "house floor" and "kitchen" and "muk" tiles

. not castles tiles combined with housewall corners.

so yeah.

this "classic" is turning out to be someone elses "classic". mind as well just call it...UNHOLY NATION + DELTERIA + NPULSE version 2

There are ongoing threads about this opinion for a lot of months now, perhaps search some of the threads concerning Classic within the last few months and read to catch up in all hot information!

At the end of the day, we aren't trying to please the same players as we had 5/6 years ago. That, coupled which some major events beyond my control, has meant that were developing it a little differently.

Sure, you're not trying to make the server like it was several years ago. That doesn't mean, "take a year to accomplish virtually nothing."

Not trying to please the players who've been there for over five years? I wonder if you noticed how they make up more than half of the players who log on (the rest being trial accounts).

Really you have no excuse, we went through almost a year with no work being done to the server whatsoever, given excuses such as we can't release anything until GS2, or we need this function enabled. Well GS2 is enabled, and most of the functions you asked for exist. The problem is, you're all focused on the new hit detection system (which, from my perspective wasn't needed, you could have simply rescripted the bombs and arrows as projectiles, and no, the system didn't have to be rescripted to detect the damage from them, I can see numerious other playerworlds who managed to do this without new hit detection).

Now onto the most recent developments? The expansion of the overworld? This could have been done a year ago, as nothing needed to be converted because you removed all the NPCs from Babord/Avalon (aswell as all the inside levels that went along with them, we see a larger area of the overworld, but why is it expanded? It doesn't have any real content in it). Quests? We have the same two quests, (one without any real reward) for almost a year now. We were promised a new quest at one point in Onnet, which fell through, and then another quest, the castle quest, which has been ready for release for awhile, but is still being held back for some unknown reason.

I have a lot more complaints but I'll save them for Storm's next reply. I hope it is true that Malinko got the go ahead to make a converted Classic.

They're trying to appeal to an audience which Stefan is not interested in (non paying players) which should really be cause for Stefan to do something already

not to mention they were offered coded bombs and arrows to work with default movement when NPC-Server Classic was released.
