Vanishing Platinum

I recently upgraded my account, and as a result I recieved 15 Diamonds and 500 Platinum Coins in my inventory when I started on the Graal Kingdoms server. As soon as I got off the tutorial island, I lost it all! It simply vanished from my inventory. I suspect this may have to do with the code that removes all the money you have earned while on the island, when you travel to the main island. But that doesn't help me in my newly broke state. Is there anything I can do?

All money is dropped when you leave the tutorial island with the boat.
