Doomsday's commin back soon

Just so you know, Doomsday is comming back. Although you never see anyone on the server, there is development. the only problem is the setting of rights wasn't done correctly so we cannot upload everything. We do have imporvments, new things comming out, and a new system put together, although not scripted.

We'll be comming back on the classic Graal system, and then hopefully we'll have willing scripters to help us move our newer system along.

We have cut out a lot of the bad (Such as some crappy events) and put back more of the good (This will probably be the only server with a working guild war system). We have revamped the quests and most of the good NPCs. We have redone Haven spar with a better system and look.

You can see the imporved Doomsday sometime next month, if the rights are corrected. If they are corrected sooner, you can see Doomsday back even sooner. Our forums are located here and most of the new system work outs, the layout of everything, and the staff system is all on there.

Nice, i'm glad to see this server come back. Back in the day me and Vincent accepted it as Playerworld Reviewers. I hope it has the same potential it did when it came out.

Do the staff develope on another (private) playerworld, that we don't know about, yet? I honostly don't think i've ever seen a staff member logged on, when im on, and im on alot.

Well first I would like to point out a few things:

Tifa is Owner. She is not Manager, she simply owns the server. She will not be really doing anything, and this is her wish. The server is up by her because all the oldbies wanted it up.

Cujo is not staff. He was removed for a reason, and I cannot set rights or IPs, so I didn't mess with any of your stuff Cujo. You were removed by the admin account (Tifa or UnholyPaladin) and this was not my request. I would have done it sooner. I would also like to point out that hours don't mean anything. I guarentee I had more hours than most everyone but Tifa or Xero when I played, so I more than triple your hours.

As for the staff it works something like this:

Tifa is the Owner.
UnholyPaladin is the offical Manager.
I'm the unoffical manager who really does all the work, hires everyone, and gets everything done.

I would also like to point out that Doomsday was not mediocre - it had one of the best communitys on Graal, ever. Everyone who played Doomsday was, and probably still is dedicated to the core. Even if they want the server shut down, they're still dedicated. Hence why Doomsday is one of the best servers.

Anyways, yeah, we'll be ready for inspection in about a month.

[edit]Forgot. There is staff on, but only in the dead of the night. For example, UP and Tifa live n australia, so they're on a differen't time frame. The only people with correct RC is myself, and the admin account - hence no RCs. Usually my updates and uploads take about 10 seconds, and then 4 mins to check, and then I go do something else so. Really, we're doing everything offline, then putting it online.

I for one speak for DD oldbies in saying that Doomsday was an incredible server with an incredible community. It was always classic to the core, and if that makes it mediocre, then no one should be playing UN or NP or Classic. I don't know if anyone remembers me (I was Tifa's co-manager) but that server is graal to me and to many other graal lovers. I can't wait for it to come back up! I also can't wait for Stefan to finish the mac editor so I can help with the development more! (As of right now I'm just a forum mod, check out the forum in Hiro's first post!!) Thank you all for the words of encouragement.

ummm I personally didnt play DD at all but, ahh Im going to just mention that there is really no reason to get your hopes up. As history has shown on graal, a lot of servers can go through this 3 week development phase and then shutdown/stop and never get anything done.

Will DD be another one of those servers? It may have been good in the passed but what says itll be good in the future. Times have obviously changed on graal. So what is giving that assurance that DD "development" will go somewhere? (Answer with somthing other than "Because Im going to do all the work" etc etc".)

We'll have it done because:

1. Motivation from the forums remind us to keep working.

2. The server was already a 60 player average base when it closed - there really isn't need to make new things, but rather update and cultivate the current overworld, NPCs, quests, etc.

3. Our updates are small, but make a big difference. Much of our development is simply remaking or revamping what was there.

4. Because I'm not doing all the work. Doomsday has a vast varity of players who will gladly lend a hand in doing literally anything., even if they can't do it well.

5. Because I already have everything done and simply need to upload and test.

If you wanna sum it all up: We have a lot of players would really want Doomsday back, and now that we got it up, we don't want to **** up our chances and get it closed again.
