The Kingdoms Fix List

I am not putting this under suggestions for a reason. Please do not move it there. I am not meaning to be crass in any way, but this has been posted only for reasons listed below.

People of kingdoms, if you will, please take the time to vote in this poll on what you think needs to be fixed the absolute most on kingdoms. If your choice is not listed, please give a simple answer consisting of a word or words that generalize the subject. This is here so that administrators may observe the opinions of the general populace and perhaps make changes according to what is mentioned the most. I am not going to list things such as 'roleplaying' or 'leaders,' because it's something that requires the work of both players and administrators alike, so please do not suggest that, either. If you post something other than what is listed, please put up ideas in moderation. Too many tasks to accomplish messes up how things may be prioritized.

Thank you for your time.

No. If I were working on something that needed a lot of things fixed, I wouldn't try to do them all at once.

A hard call between Item Distribution and Event Hosting, but I'm going with Item Distribution.

I'm glad to see this has shot off well so far. I just hope that nobody goes into long tangents about something they want fixed.

I went for monsters, i believe that a range of much stronger monsters that require big teams to kill would benifit the game the most. These monsters should give a large amount of exp to everyone in the team. The game is not going to be reset and the top levels are near impossible to reach unless using mental/agility etc, the way to improve is to make top levels easier to obtain so everyone can compete.

Has anyone thought of (This would be ONLY after much tougher monsters that would be challenging for 110s are released) maybe raising the max level beyond 110? Would revive alot of gameplay for maxed out players and give even more possibilities for things to lower levels. (This is either a great idea or an absolutely awful one, which one is it folks?)

Have to agree with googi on item distribution. Although the major bugs (such as ships) and monsters are a close close second and third.

so you make weapons that are stronger, increase the blessing levels, allow more slots on weapon preps etc. If everyone has armor class -120, ya make it possible to have wc's that go that high.

It's already possible to have your WC that high but all it does is make the gap between the strongest and weakest bigger.

You did a while ago and it was never fixed. Please fix these bugs. Kingdom relations were really getting interested until major problems arose with ships. Well, at least between CP and Samurai it was... ship fights were frequent and very fun! Now...it's very annoying. It's worse than before. Now when you get stuck you have to jump overboard or reconnect, and by the time you grab the wheel again you have been badly damaged.

Round-based fighting? Like that game with the skinny dude and spiky hair who has a really thick sword that looks like GK's broad sword? Not on GK...PLEASE! GK is best left as a real time RPG.

I want it for kind of the hill fights in arenas. EM's need to set the power, strength and armour, so all have equal chances whether lvl 10 or lvl 100.

Well, consider this your report on everything, then. :]

The biggest things players think should be fixed should be prioritized over smaller stuff taking place, unless this forum is to be spammed with more and more things objectionable.

On an aside...

Nation Mechanics (Ranks, bmode, etc.) referring to the actual kingdoms right? Like BO, Forest, Samurai, etc.

Just want to clarify that.

If so then that's my vote, such as a kingdom mode, active kingdoms, attempts at increasing RPing, etc.

That is something only players can really fix. Please read what I said in my first post about the suggestion of roleplaying or stuff related to that. Admins do not make kingdoms active. People do.

Start from the roots. If the system needs a revamp, start on the job(magic and gods included here)... then fix bugs and work out the monsters... then fix the bugs and revamp PvP interaction. Then fix bugs with that. From there, you can start working on Kingdom vs Kingdom interaction. These steps don't include anything involving RPing as it is more developed by the playerbase and not the staff.

Just my opinion on how to run things.

The best order I could suggest is:

1. Jobs
2. Levels
3. Monsters
4. Nation Mechanics
5. Item Distribution
6. Gods
7. Magic
8. Menu Attributes
9. Major Bugs
10. Event Hostings

This way, things could be fixed in an order that could immediately level things out and enable wars and normal fighting again in a way such that people would not have to be terrified to fight others.

One thing that ties in with item distribution as well might be prepping, which is a good idea to some extent, but has been used in ways that make fighting absurd. The weapondamage on a weapon should be enough, but since the AC on items can get to be rediculous, making the weapon's normal damage obsolete. With enough prepping, a wooden plank could become one of the most powerful weapons out there. Isn't that right, Ed?

I have to agree. I voted Magic though cause it annoys the living hell out of me when i buy a expensive spell with no GFX or doesn't work..

For monster battling and Player vs Player and Kingdoms vs Kingdoms we want to introduce the round-based battling. I think this could fix a lot of problems, since it makes fights more balanced, requires people to use different attacks, makes team play more interesting (instead of the current party system which is often only used for cheating), players couldn't simply run away (you need to be lucky or strong to be able to escape) which will be good for kingdoms fights and monsters will have a fair chance. It will also give 50+ of the spells a real sense, like levitation, confusion, storm.

Voted for Gods because I don't like the idea of Ogma's Bracers being disabled and the Aengus bow not working, and the fact that vitriol and sanctuary don't work that well anymore, or most of the god-given prayers. If those were fixed, then maybe I would've voted for something else.

And how will you put round-based fights into Graal? I mean it really wouldn't fit..

Ew. What are you thinking? New innovations aren't going to redeem Kingdoms' standing.

You've been talking about that idea forever, Stefan. I haven't really seen any steps toward it, nor do I even think those steps are necessary for a great multitude of reasons.

Personally i think the turn-based fighting system would be really cool and extremely original. Not too many MMOs doing that. It would be straying away from the original ZO concept about as much as graal has ever done, but it might just be what gives graal an edge in the market.

Fairyland has this system, and it was quite interresting.

The thing is... most of the things listed aren't really bugs so much as they are things that should be tweaked to perfection, 'lest there should be more complaining.
