Map, arg!

Okay, I know how to make the map image, however, it doesn't show all the levels on the map, only parts, why? How can I make it so it takes more of the levels for the map? And where does the txt file come from, and can I use the same txt file for the mini map?

When generating maps I always used the level generator to generate the levels, because it would spit out a .gmap file, which is basically used as a map now. It contains all of the information (level names and orders) needed for a map to work properly.

You didn't do this, and you're not going to be able to do what you want unless you go through and list all of your levels in the right order manually. Or, you will have to generate a blank map, and put all of hte levels on there.

This is what happens when you do not keep up with technology.

But when I hit M it does generate most of the map, why some of it and not all, I mean I'm sure there's some way, right?

even when you have the levels linked with warps? If so, then it could be the same problem

DR was in the making for a long time, and I didn't know about the level generator then. is it possible to make a gmap in this format (each level made seperatly)

I've been testing stuff...is it alright to just use a pic, and then the txt file, as opposed to a gmap?

Nobody's going to bust through your door and arrest you if you choose to use the old map format... but a Gmap is infinately better than a regular map if you ask me.

Except I find Gmap making hard and annoying. They're flaky and they never work for me =(

and in the serveroptions do you just write mapname.gmap instead of txtfile, imgname. x_X and the M button is still not generating the full map, even though all the levels are connected the same way (kinda, some are not fully across the level) also can I use the same txt file for mini maps?
