Open Poll

What do you prefer?
  1. Quests you have to do
  2. Quests optional; The quests are there but you can skip them and get the prizes if you want too.

Note: The quests are semi-interesting. They are not just slash baddies and move on.

I'll close the poll a week today.

I hate the idea of forcing people to do quests. People should want to do them for other reasons, not because if they don't do them they won't have all the hearts or a shield or faster speed or something.

Especially if you go through all of that and then reset your character or start a new character, and you have to go and do it all again, then it's just a chore.

I like the zelda style where you do big quests and get fullhearts, but the most of your fullhearts come from doing many many sidequests. And getting swords from different parts of the world is cool too, just not 'questing' for them. Just having it there to grab whenever you're strong enough.
I would say not having to do them would be nice for graal because I like many others want to be able to have same items as any other player starting. That way when a pker comes after me the one that dies is the more skilled person and not the advantaged one thats been playing for 500 hours and preying on newbs from osl.

Or, a good idea would be to have all sparring zones set atts to a standard (then set it back when you leave).

Doing quests, obviously. If you are forced to do quests it gives a server some longevity because people might enjoy the quests you have setup and stay to do the next one and so forth.

I don't mind skipping quests if they're just baddy quests, but SL I think should be forced because they have good quests.
