Graal v4 Idea

With graalv4 wouldn't it be cool if you were able to skin your client like the RC?

Neat idea. I'd like to see this implemented - though there wouldn't be much to skin.

This would be a fun feature to have. You can somewhat do this by editing whatever GFX are in the C: \graal\levels3d\gui\ folder but there are still some things you can not edit. Maybe if one of you can ask CheeToS to add it to the Feature Requests part of the G4 Thread in Tech Support it will be considered by Stefan.

If you mean the GUI, I think there is a way to change those graphics.

Skin your client? What do you mean by skin your client? Do you mean what the client looks like when you open it? If so, then what would be the point? If you mean the client itself when connected to a server, then once again, what's the point?

The same point people skin Windows or Winamp.

It is kind of useless when most servers replace the default stuff, yes?

oo... you're right. I wasn't thinking enough into it. There isn't much you can skin that can't be changed by the server you're on so I guess there isn't much point.

They have this in v3.04, you cant get it any more though, unless you still have it

You can already skin the gui controls by editing the image files they consist of. That is the only thing I could think of that somebody may want to skin. Skinning the playerlist, options window, and PMs just seems silly
