Forum fix/feature idea

I am not sure if it is a javascript issue or page expiration or what, but on some sites, when you hit the back button while typing into a text box, and go forward again, you don't loose the data. On these forums, its always reset.
Its not a browser setting - I believe what is happening is that the php script that is standard for each forum page has something to the effect of a header() call that sets the page to expire right away. That is good for most pages as it forces a reload to show new content but it would be good to override that setting for newthread.php and the other reply scripts, so the page would stop wiping the message body if you accidently flip back with alt+back arrow.
I don't know if others have that problem but then I use a compact keyboard. |
