To Reset...or Not

didnt know what thread to put this in so i will put it in both.

After two + years of Graal Kingdoms being in developmental stages it is that time. With the release of the completed alchemy system the server should be more then prepared for a reset. From bugs to level...to bugs to get things for free (yes even not playing GK anymore i still know about that) the server has been steadily twisting down hill with its equality for players. the people who do these things are punished...well not all of htem. but the ones who get caught for the most part are repremanded. but is it really enough. the items they traded off are still out there. the money they traded off are still out there. same wtih stacked brutals. still a mystery to most including myself as to the true origin of these, they still have caused a neusance. The un-numbered amount released into the hands of player in itself is a reason for reset. Yes i understand there are people who have not played a part into these abuses but still the number of people who have knowingly or unknowingly is far too great. then there is the problem with people who have..bought items USD. a problem for them very but on that same note even though some of them are dear friends of mine there is a reason it was asked not to be done just in case something like this happened where u lost your bang for your buck. but none the less i think most will agree when i say its time for a reset and just to see imma put a poll....before u vote think about the server not yourself. if u are as good as u claim to be by being legit then u can get back to where u are...

Some folks want it, and i'm sure you will see more folks wanting to keep what they have no matter what, so this will be quite a large topic, Stefan having once said himself "there will not be a reset" it would take alot of folks to change his mind.

If stefan is strong on his choice NOT to reset GK, it may be a bad idea to keep working on G3d...really, GK was the newest server and it took this long to iron out the major bugs and glitches and the are still minor bugs, imagine working like that a second time.

Your working with all new ideas and even though i'm no expert i can see the bugs and glitches from miles away, there will always be something there that one person will suddenly find and that leads to that one person having the advantage until you fix the bug or glitch.

I remember hearing of the tree seed bug, Alchemy a single seed and you got a balm worth 290 or so plats, things you don't think about will jump out at you. Trust me.

I suggested this two years ago. Failed.
It wont happen but it should happen.

After the reset 2k2 needs to be fixed by going back to Alpha stages. Three swords, kung fu, a bamboo rod, various daggers, and shields. Of course add the other stuff like armor (regular like chain and plate) and magic stuff and bows.

Sadly 2k2 Alpha was 2k2's Golden Age... it's peak of perfection. Last I heard the Alpha stage is NOT supposed to be where it reaches the top. After Alpha ended it all went downhill.

Another sad thing is that one of those downhills was the ill-selection of the Zormite Emperor.

I voted no because it causes people to quit. I've seen it before. Besides, it's not fair for someone to play so many hours to get good items and then have the server reset. It's just not right. I know you think it's like, "Oh, we can start all over again!" but it's not. It just gets boring when you have to do all the hard work all over again.

And it's not fun to have such an unbalanced server.

If people quit 2k2 because of a reset then we should reset it when we get 2k1 back online

Well, maybe it's unbalanced because some people put more time into Graal, and whats wrong with that? And, I played 2k1 before and didn't like it, so yeah, I wouldn't go there.

Reset might cause a lot of things to happen .

It could be useful though, for organizing more things on GK and what not.

Though, it's a mainstream server, people pay money to play, so who knows. Would be fun for more people to get into the game again.

umm no. it people quit because of the reset then something would be wrong. like i said. i have been here longer then most people that still play this server and it would make me come back. it would make alot of people come back tot he server that have quit because of the illegal things that have happened over the years. if you chose to quit then bye. same with anyone else who quit the server. GK will still have 80 people on at it peak hours. and people who dont play will come because now they wont feel over powered by everybody with items..

Well, to tell you the truth, a reset wouldn't hurt me much, but still it would be unfair to reset without the consent of EVERY user with any gold on their account, and we all know that's not going to happen.

Well, I doubt Stefan will reset anyway. He has said already that they don't plan to reset. Let's wait for the man himself to voice his opinion.

A reset will not help increase RP, therefore, a reset is not necessary.

Not a single person said a word about RP here, So why have you brought it up? This is about dealing with a server that only recieved constant updates, patches and whatever, and like an old coat it's not very useful anymore.

Stop covering the mistakes because the effects are still there!
