Your skull has a cartoony feel, and in the end so did mine, but I decided I would show you some of its problems:
I started by removing your jaw, so you could see the the skull itself was designed poorly, now it's not the entire thing, just a few things.
-The upper teeth area sticks out too far, and not down far enough!
-The bottom kind of... well it's too round, but I'm sure my version will illustrate it better!
I started to fix this, compare 1A with 1B and you see what I mean, I hope.
Now that I had repaired these two problems I tackled the eyes, yours looked like it was wearing glasses, sunglasses at that - your eye sockets are just too dark, that's no big deal. I matched your colors as best as I could (using paint, ofcourse.) and began working on your eyes, or the skull's eyes, mor appropriatley. Once again refer to 1B
I added a little detail on the top, and sides, since I didn't like the way you didn't add some - look above the eyes, and at the bottom of the skull. You'll likely see it clearly, compare 1A to 1B
Well, now that that was done I started on the jaw, Although I didn't keep your original jaw, I made one more suiting for it for the comparison (keep in mind my jaw is horrible, aswell, but I'm too lazy to fix it...again.) Ok so your jaw is all wirey and such, what I did was I clost the mouth, I didn't keep all of the teeth but I decided a fair amount would be nice, since skulls do usually keep their teeth. (unless they died with lots of teeth)
Compare 2A to 2B, you will see the differrence, and here it is. |
