New Playerworld...AGAIN

Hello , Prolly alot of people know who i am because of my attempts to get staff for crappy ideas for servers. Well this is probobly another crappy idea but atleast its working haha.
I just want to show my server here see what you people think.
Its a Old Western Server called Ol' West (ironic eh?). We have tileset done but still adding , we also got gui done. We are in progress of the OverWorld and this is our third day working on it.
Rate the server out of a Scale from 1 to 10 (From if it looks good in the screen shots)
I know im not posting alot of info , i just want feed back on how its looking right now.

Railroads look very nice, just keep adding on to the tileset and I think it should do just fine.

Thanks, Yeah we still need to add some more tiles to detail up the lvls, and i sure as hell like the rail roads, Steam Trains will be up soon too. Not bad for 3 days work anyways.

, but the stairs and raised parts should be better because they look weird on the tileset, so redo those.... and also get some shadow tiles/graphics to add shadows in places.

On a serious note: It looks decent, but what are your ideas for gameplay that won't make it just a western version of Era?

Well sort of. I mean yes there will be Gun PKing but there will be a rare ammount of PK Zones.
What it will be focused on is the Cards Games we are scripting , the Drunk Script haha (Mmm Beer) and ofcourse our new sparring system. It will be a Dual, you stand infront of each other and theres a timer that goes from 5 to 0 , at 0 you have to draw ur weapon and shoot the fastest , prolly by clicking or the pressing of S. So it will be pretty cool. Also there will be pking because of the guns and the 4 outlaw gangs we will have , but there will also be Sheriffs and Deputies. If your in a gang , no one else sees your guild tag but yourself, yet Sherrifs and Deputies can see the guild tags , meaning if you get caught , you will get a fine fee and prolly alot of disrespect from your gang afterwards. Also the horses we are working on are awesome. You will need to feed them , brush them , train them and ride them. The server is still on beta and we start 3 days ago but were still working

yehaw now I can go to a server where I feel at home. I agree with spark on the shadowing, some stuff looks just too flat.

edit: I went to look at the server after reading this post, and I something to say. You have houses all spread out in one level, werent houses either all lined up and there was just a main street down the entire place? Also maybe an ally inbetween houses ever so often?

Yeah i know about that , i just checked around and saw what was going on , i was thinking the same way as you , They were acctualy just testing lvls with it , they told me that we would start the real lvls prolly today , so i guess that its going that way. The Way i wanted it is like this

Yes, that image is exactly what I was thinking too. Like you can have tiles for houses like this (| _ represent rows of houses) | | =. Strangly enough, that picture almost looks exactly like my towns main street, only know the road is asfault and the buildings are old red brick.

I got on the server and played a bit. It was VERY fun, even with just the few temp levels and the rifle. I saw about 20 people playing when I came on. I like the Western tileset a lot! Can't wait for revolvers to be released, and I want to start cactus mining, which I havent uploaded pics of to a site yet -.-
9/10 Lotsa fun for the limited levels

I wish i had a secret lvl5 global RC so i could obliterate guns from servers o_O
Unless you only have like a pk levels to no-pk levels ratio of like 1:25, then i will hate your server bitterly, probably.

On another note, that railroad looks VERY nice, i think that theme has a lot of potential. The theme of wildwest salloon, town, gambling, etc also has nice potential, but the guns will ruin it.

I totaly agree with you on that one... people see guns and run because they get killed , its pretty funny.. cose most people that say gun servers suck is because they suck at it. Just because they cant pk the same way they used to doesnt mean you cant give something time and try to make it good for yourself... Just try a gun server , try... I used to think it sucked too.. i gave a gun server some time "Graal X , Arkland Empires Lunensis" and wow i love em.. You just gotta try it for more then 2-8 hours *****.

I played era before it even became public. I played right from the start through to the time where it just got ridiculously crappy.

See, in the beginning, era was AWESOME! There was just the pistol and the shotgun, and it was even fun picking flowers to try and buy them. Then we had just one or two gangs...i was in the Era Mafia...and there was uh, Tiger P-something, and maybe another gang came along but i can't remember. Anyway, yeah, there was mild RPing going on, and we had our cool little gang safehouses, and we'd have gang rivalry. Then the uzi came along and everyone was like "HOLY MOLY WTFS" but shotgun could beat uzi if you were careful enough so that was ok

Then i was in another gang, and that was when selling gun ammo and stuff came into play. That was real fun, y'know, the rivalry between gangs to sell more than the other ones. More gang warfare. Then the gangs just got stupid, all all anybody did all day was sit outside the other gang's hideout and kill anyone who walked by. Also blackholst's stupid turret NPCs that just killed anything, sheesh was that retarded.

eventually it all just got stupid, and all anybody did was pk all day outside the hospital, and gangs just camped outside another gang's hideout. pking. So i quit.

I logged on it looks fair, the ground is covered in random tiles and look really weird. Some of the graphics are a little cluttered but overall it looks alright

Not Original. My Western server has been up for a month or so now. And Brad started it a year or so ago, and apparently there are a few others. I start making something and then everyone else jumps on the bandwagon. e.e
