Blanks of Terror

For some unknown reason, I can't see certain things or they have a box around them filled with blank space. One of the worst spots is in the main dungeon. I cannot see the map at all, its just a huge white blank with the heads of people in it. Its hard to know where I am going and I can't memorize very well. Another example is the dark brown monkey, I can see the monkey itself but it has a blank box surrounding it. Certain Emotions I cannot see... like the pm one, which has a blank box around it as well. I am fairly sure it has nothing to do with my computer or its video card, but if its any consolation... heres the data:
Linux 9.0 running system
Intel 845G Chipset (Video, etc)
Multisync M700 Moniter
Pentium 4 & 2.4GHz
MX4GR Motherboard (Aopen)

Is this just on Graal Kingdoms?

Did you try re-downloading graal?

check your color settings, Graal doesn't like 24 bit if I remember correctly

"Linux 9.0" doesn't exist. My guess is that it's Mandrake 9.0

Actually, its a red hat version... I just tend to refer to it as Linux 9.0
And yes my settings are on full screen, 1024x768 & 16bit color depth. I have also reinstalled Graal several times with the same results, and I haven't played most of the other worlds enough to know.
