a) How was it lost?
b) who took it?
c) to my recollection, posting for others is against the forum's rules... can't he post it himself?

a)when he logged off he had the stuff then when he logged back on it was gone.
b)something inside the servers database or something
c)he cant log onto the forums for some reason so I did it for him and as far as I have been told its not against the rules to post for other people as long as it follows to forum guidelines

If posting for others is against the forum rules, how can it be possible to post for others following the forum's rules?

Anyway, sure it wasn't a hacker, someone else on his account?

Yes, it can be checked whether he had them, and if he did indeed lose them, I would like for them to be returned. But as of now, I do not trust this person. If I ever wanted too, I could probably gather up 20 of my friends and have them all tell the Staff the same story about how I lost items I never had.

It'd go something like this:
Well, I was in the trade tables, and I was showing these items to my friends. Suddenly, my ISP crashed, and I couldn't get back online for 15 minutes! By the time I returned, my items were GONE! My friends told me that som, guy ran in and claimed ownership of the table when I signed off and he took all my items! I have evidence and witnesses! Give me back my items!

A staff, faced with 20 witnesses usually wouldn't bother doing the long and tedious task of sifting through logs, and instead grant him these items.

My thought is simply that despite that this guy claims to have 20 witnesses, I suggest that the staff still go through the logs before returning these items that may or may not have ever been in his hands.

Well obviusly the staff is going to go through the logs and check and see if this person actually had it...and they way that you are saying this stuff it seems like you're trying to make him look like a jackass. and nobody said that they were stolen by somebody...all he merely stated was that he had the items when he logged off and than the next time he logged on they were gone...your making this a bigger deal then it needs to be

Exactly, as DX said. I say things how I say them because I don't believe him.

I'd prefer truthful players who rp to dedicated powergamers (not saying Tec wasn't truthful or whatever, that rather goes for the topic than him).
