Dino Valley: Resurrection

Well everyone, my time is short so I'll get down to the points.

We (as in just me working my butt off) are going to try to resurrect Dino Valley. So far, there are minor adjustments to the playerworld, but enough to meet the guidelines (online level has been clarified and the stuck holes have been patched). I made many levels and NPCs to give the PW some additional spice. Also, the original owner, Aramech had given up control over the PW therefore it should be "open-source".

Anyway, I'm submitting within 3 days, and of course, we need staff. IF you want to be considered in as staff, please:
E-Mail "[email protected]" with the subject named as: STAFF TRYOUTS and in the body:
1. Name Staff Position.
Two things about this, One, don't name more than one staff position, it makes you sound very unprofessional and like you just want to get a job so you can run around abusing your powers and such. Two, we aren't allowing any GATs, FAQs and GPs right now. Why? We have enough Graphics for now, you haven't even played the server yet, so how can you answer questions and GPs are the best form of abusing staff powers, and we'll need them once we get the core of the game up and running.
2. Name present EXP in the job already.
(Anyone running for LAT or NAT should send in level/s to show me your programming skills.
3. Why do you want to be a (insert job)?
4. How many hours do you think you will be on duty in my server?

And that's all, nothing much, just the regular go-around.

Anyways, good luck with your submission, and hopefully we'll pass inspection and get this server running underway.

Question: Why was the server named (I mean excact name) after/of the Owner?

To answer two questions...
1. At that time, I had been LAT Captain, and a large percentage of the levels had something to do with my assist. But, instead of making my own server, why not just resurrect the server that has a name for it already, other than making a server? (I also don't have THAT much time on my hands)

2. The History of Dino Valley:
There used to be a guild named: Yoshi Tribe and one day a member of that guild (not me) decided to make a server dedicated to Yoshi Tribe, then times changed and the owner/co-owner made the server more game appealing than guild appealing, like it was supposed to be, so then it became a regular server, just like Aurora and all those alike servers.

It's named after a guild, but the levels are named after the original maker: Aramech.

Why? Because when he first made Dino Valley with that Map Maker program thingy back in 2K1, he was thinking of making a server with nothing to do with Yoshi Tribe.

Yeah, i bought my space. But the origional Owner of Graal 3000 (Which is n my sig, gotta change it) was Lethal, he submitted it.

Now you have to buy it at Graal.net i believe

when i was Graphics Team I noticed that Dino Valley had quite a few copyright images, such as the Dragon Ball Z head, and the Mario Yoshii head, and a few other things, This isn't my job to harras you about that anymore, but hey. just lettin people know *wink*

You might want to get permission of the former owner. I believe they have to give you the go ahead.

I myself have been planning on bringing back Dino Valley since I love the playerworld, and I was the former admin there (Blakes). Cha Cha (The former Co-Owner who was given rights to the levels) gave me the go ahead to do so. Please contact me on AIM and maybe we can work something out. AIM:Anarchist5188

And its funny. Because the guy "bringing back" Elven's Land just downloaded the levels from somewhere and uploaded them. None of the scripts work, because there pre-NPC Server :P

Yes, try to revive it. Dino Valley was the first server that i played at, i liked it alot, also i already tried to revive it about 1/2 year (s) ago but i had no supporters. Good luck.

First you must obtain the permission of the "Last Manager" of Dino Valley. The one who was in charge when it went down. Second purchase a server from Graal.net and start your project. Keep in mind no copyrighted material of any kind is allowed on Graal. No images as the Dragon Ball Z head, and the Mario Yoshi head. No Yoshi images at all, they are copyrighted', nothing taken from Yoshi at all.

Well, if they ever hope to go public revived worlds need to bring up their standards greatly seeing as Graal has evolved so much. I do wish someone would revive XOne though. That server could go down with the best of them if it's scripts were updated.

A lot of people start their own projects, it's just that some people would prefer to revive an old server they loved instead. It's not always about getting lazy.

I agree 100%. I loved Graal3000 and i thought others did too. Thats when i realized there are mostly new players who never knew about it, and when i had old levels up for temporary overworld, people were like "Yeah, these stink." Hopefully you won't have the same result as myself. I hope Dino Valley does good, and doesn't flop like some other "revived" servers did. If you buy a server, and use old levels, make sure you indicate that they are old, or else people will critizise them. I hated it when people did that. :P

May i take a moment to say, that i was Doomsdays last Manager, i registered Doomsday, but chose to close it down, and not pay for it to stay, for the simple reason, there was nobody to take over from me, except Zenko, who was as corrupt as they come, and would have turned Doomsday into a pit of shame.
I dont regret my decision, i'm sorry for those that miss it, but its gone, to bring it back now is pointless, the levels are old compared to what is probably being made nowadays.
I wouldnt know because Graal is no longer a part of my hard drive.
As for Glory and Tsu, i have no reason to doubt Glory, i banned Tsu off Doomsday for his abuse and rantings.
I know Saga wanted Doomsday back, BUT, there was some confusion between Angel,Stefan/Unixmad, and its GONE

You completely missed my point, Glory...as usual, and why do you continually drag Tifa to the forums whenever DD is mentioned? That is sad, let her stay away, let her get away from Graal, it is what she wants.
My only point was that there are alot of people who want DD back, as there are alot of people who want other PW's back....I didn't say I agree with it, because I dont, but eventually if a person wants a pw up bad enough, chances are, they will get it up.
The pw's belong to Graal, they dont belong to the people who managed them, or the people who rent servers for them...remember, they are using Graal's engine to make these PW's, and it states somewhere in the rules that whatever is uploaded belongs to Graal. They can ultimately do whatever they want to levels from a pw that was shut down. This was my point.

We will just have to wait and see what the PW rules say when they come out (if there is anything about this in them).

I hope that you get what I am saying now, if not.....I cant explain it any better.

I must admit, you do have a valid point there. Graal would go as low as to give out Doomsday's stuff.

You're perfectly sqeaky-clean as per usual. However, the history was posted for a reason, plus it's like a global's actually going to do something about the two things in those messages. It'd be... unreasonable for them to enforce rules.

I could imagine the history of Angel assuring me that Doomsdays levels would be deleted , never to see the light of Graal again would be deleted, its contrary to what you just said.
Glory knows i'm interested in anything to do with Doomsday, thats why he tells me, he knows my wishes,knows the pain i went through, and liars like Tsu who say Saga will give permission to get Doomsday back, are annoying.
If Doomsday comes back, i want apologies from Angel.
What is the point of registering and paying for a playerworld, if some annoying abusive person like Tsu can enlist Saga's help to get it back? And what about the fact that Jubei was the original owner/level maker, HE made Doomsday, whose going to ask him?
I LOVED Doomsday, it wasnt an easy decision to close it down, i cried, i suffered, for gods sake, leave it die or apologise to me for all the lies Angel.
