mousex/mousey help

could anyone help me with a script im making? i made most of it but i cant figure out how to make the player face the mouse direction at all times. if anyone could help me it would be much help for my server. An similar script is on kingdoms,when u move a skill around the screen... i want somthing like that but without having the mouse to be held down for it to work. ty

getdir(x value of the mouse,y value of the mouse)

this will give you a number between 0 and 3

hey i also need to know when u use the shoot command... what part do u need to make mousex,and mousey to make it shoot where the mouse is?

[edit] i tried getdir(mouse x val,mouse y val) <useing mousex/y and it isnt working right. it only will make the direction right when the mouse is in the upper right hand corner and the rest of the time the player is facing down. [/edit]

getdir(delta x,delta y)

If means the spacial (x,y) difference between the object and the thing towards which it should point.

Shame on you, ForgottenLegacy. Feeding newbies scripts is bad enough, but you could at least use one that works.

asking for full scripts... not making an effort to try to do the script even when the answer is right in front of you, closed, read the forum rules
