Exclamation Nemesis - some questions -

Quote:
Also undeveloped servers and under construction servers DO NOT COUNT as supports. Has to be a server with over 10 players. They will be verified.
So that eliminates ?
Graal Bomy Moon, Rudora, Valikorlia, Doragon Koden, Terra, Oasis, Graal2230, Shaded Legend, Gaia, Frolic, and Cynical.

and leaves us with
Delteria, N-Pulse, Unholy Nation, Era, Doomsday, Enigma Graal, Graal the Adventure, Babylon, Maloria, and Bravo.

Quote:
+ You must have atleast 5 staff admin supports from 5 different servers. You may stack 2 from a server.
Does that include past admins that no longer work on any playerworlds. Like me for example. I was Levels Admin on Frolic before. If I support Moon God, would it still count?

Quote:
Staff Supports: -Name here- / -staff position- / -server here-
You might want to include some information so you can find out how to contact those people. Maybe include the person's account name, and e-mail address so you can verify if the person does support the individual doing the application.

The 5 from 5 thing is pretty horrible. I'd make quite a good PWA if only for my ability to analyse scripts, but I haven't worked in many places. There might, by some random chance, be admins on five servers that respect me and would support my app, but should I be denied if there aren't? PW admins aren't always chosen for their skill or maturity or whatever, so why are they being used as the jury? (The fact that you ask for people from different servers suggests that you're anticipating bias from them) Why not allow reference from, for example, forum mods? Or just generally respected members of the community?

Nemesis

"+ You must have atleast 5 staff admin supports from 5 different servers (not 2k2, not 2k1, not Classic). You may stack 2 from a server. For example 2 Admins from Delteria for an example, but you may not have more than 2 admins from one server and you can only have it once. Therefore you cannot have 2 from Delteria and 2 from UN.....as an example "

This is a bit unfair if you are only playing German Servers.

it's fair, because PWA have to work on ALL servers... they are global staff, so they need to be judged globally, not just on 1 server... I know it might not seem too fair... but this is for a graal global staff spot

Actually, that also eliminates Graal: The Adventure. The other name for Classic. :T

Also if I see someone supporting more than 3 people, I will toss out the application. I really hope people can get supports from people they do not know rather than people they know because it'll make it honest but hey.
The five admin supports is sort of stupid. Let's assume for a moment that the.. what, nine?.. servers that are legible to submit votes all have five admins who are willing to support people. Since each admin can support a maximum of three users, we have.. 135 possible entries. Which isn't all that bad.

But what are the odds that five admins on each world will be willing to support people? Plus, don't forget that if someone is turned down for a support by an admin of a playerworld but then eventually becomes PWA.. don't you think there might be some kind of grudge?

I applaud Nemesis for finally moving to expand the PWA team, but there is no easy way of hiring global staff. I still liked the older idea of a "dummy server" that people could download and review, best reviewers are hired.

#1. the PWA does a lot more than just review servers...

#2. i'm sure Nem would like to limit the number of people applying, and that would be a good way of doing it. I doubt he wants to go over 135 applications, and neither would I...

just my thoughts

i also thought that the application could have gone into a little more detail in questioning... but then again, I guess he assumes people will use that 2 or 3 paragraphs to explain all that.

the 5 supports could get kind of messed up, theres bound to be lots of people who want to apply, and you can just hope they don't say "I'm already supporting somebody" when you ask.

Also, its rather good to get over 135 applications, sure its a lot of work, but then he'll have more to choose from, and less of a chance of getting someone unfit for the job.

The 5 thing is purly a tie-breaker. Hopefully if you wrtie good enough he wont need them 5. And if he does, then it shows commitment as you went out and asked for 5 supporters.

So the PWA doesn't need to review german playerworld projekts
and control german playerworlds?

i got 5 supporters even if all of them were not managers, i have spent most of my graal time on graal bomy moon.
i have checked out each server for at least 5 hours and stuff, but it's kind of hard to ask someone to support you that you don't even know, i mean i did ask a few people like a Graphics and SFX admin he said yes but then i decided not to add him on my list becuase you want people you know and trust to support you so when nem asks them they don't forgit who you are and say uhhh who?
so even if some of my supporters wen't the highist of admins, i still trust all of them.

If past Admins can support and someone can get more than two Admins from one server to support, I would support Moon God too. I was FAQ Admin on N-Pulse..
