Bows have become useless

there needs to be a better way... any suggestions? Bows need to be..better heh


i was thinking at least make them worth while when behind a wall. make the mouse 2 button adjust height and not the arrow buttons (and its not posible to reconfigure the graal controlls to do this either)

uh i think, seeing as using the mouse is the fastest way to aim and shoot, it should also support changing the height of the arrows.

and ya know thats not really gonna help bows over all but i guess if your behind a fortification wall or inside the castle or somethign it would give you a little advantage in defending whateve rit is thats behind that fort wall or the castle..

give arrows a chance at a critcal hit. like 25% damage + standard damage to a player.

Ranged weapons aren't worth much in an overhead game where you can't zoom out. At most you can accurately aim at those on-screen, but not as accurately as running up and shooting them. Some sorta Z-Targetting system would help...

i've been bugging every one about this bows would be better if you could see farther like when you go on top of a palm tree (grab the tree). also if you could stand on the top of castle walls and shoot from inside towers. combined with the 'z' target system bows would make a come back. think about it why use bows when you can use mass killing spells etc. make more skills with bows maybe shooting many bows at a time, enable the alchamy arrows/bolts, and maybe with different kinds of bows with different wc/dam bonus's (wooden, bronze, silver, gold ) and have a different ac so that if some one is standing behind a tall object or somthing they cant shoot at him they have to shoot over the object unless the height of the shooter is higher then the victem and vice versa if the victem is on higher ground have the bow men have to hit them with a -1 penalty or somthing. a.k.a. height advantage/disadvantage

Raise the projectile speed, add critical hits, more arrows per board, Arcane Archery, be able to move while shooting, mouse click lock on targeting, and up the accuracy depending on physique level...

Just my two cents... agree or disagree as you wish...

Make it super fast...I mean there's no sense in using it when there's bullets that go faster and do more damage and follow the opponent e_e

bullet spells go so slow. I mean, its a BULLET. x.x Projectiles like arrows and bolts shuld go alot faster. ;x

Hmmm Maybe
1. Be able to shoot 3 arrows at once
2. Auto-targetting/locking so you can easily shoot several arrows at a target
3. shooting while running
4. Possibly equip a weapon and a bow at the same time

I don't really agree... how could a person be using a bow while holding a weapon? Do you mean have a ranged weapon slot and a melee weapon slot and having a button to switch between the two?

Well, that would be pointless seeing as how it would just be like using your bind keys to swich weapons. :O

1) Arrows should be faster.
2) Arrows should stick in the target, slowing it down
3) Players should be able to walk while aiming with a bow
4) Setfocus should be used so players can aim over a wider distance

umm, kaiser guy, I was king of forest and I work on debug but I don't get anything special. No one does except Loriel, Angel, Tyhm, and Jagen.
