Will instruments ever be added? It would be fun to RP a bard, and have big bard conventions where you have to try and tell the best story


Edit: I'm talking about one's you can actually play, unlike the horn which just does various hunting calls

I made a thread ages ago on making a Bard class, and others said add instruments as well, does NO ONE listen to me? :|

That's a good idea, but I'm waiting for the annoying people to say "Goto 2k1 if you want instruments" or something.

I think a nice interface should be added, kind of like a 'upload wizard' to the website, where you can submit graphics and tones for instruments, and a similar wizard for other things, even cooking recipies would be interesting, clothing, then it would be easily reviewed and updated by staff.

It seems staff are overworked with so much else, we may never get all the neat little things like these. Something like this could make it easier.

yes i am and as for a bard class i wrote a whole thing on implementing the bard i posted on RC and most people like the idea heres the paper if you wanna read it. i'll probobly make a fife, harp, and a mandolin.

ok a little music is ok... this IS easy to script even if it doesn't have any practical use so.... maybe just get it over with?

Yes music instruments are coming back
But we make them have practical use, there is melody recognition stuff. Currently you need to play a special melody for letting pets laying eggs, we can also add melodies for locking doors or opening special caves, or more things for pets like using them for taming, may be replace the 'follow' command by playing a special melody?

Yes that is perfect! Also to make them stop you would need to play a melody too. Also hurdling skill should make horses jump and so there can be horse quests where you would jump over things and such and it would be fun XD
