Monsters And EXP

Ok, this has probably been mentioned a couple of times but what the hell, I'll mention it again. I think there should be more places to fight monsters at different sorts of levels. Because at the moment there is really only two places to fight monsters. A) Everywhere around the main island and B) In dungeons. I am only a level 3 warrior and I have full armor and a vicious axe. The monsters on the map are too easy and give out little exp, while the ones in the dungeons are too hard to kill without dying. There need to be some places with monsters at in between levels because it is getting too hard for me to gain levels. And maybe some monsters that dont spray out poison (like Dievil's) that are good for melee fighters to attack. Suggestions please....

Dievils spray out fire, Gloks use poison based attacks. Oh and the better your ac is, the less of a chance they hit you, so don't go in there without armor just because they do elemental damage ^.^

But I have armor, I just don't like most of the monsters in the dungeons mainly because they all spit something at you and with me only a level 3 melee weapon user, its hard to kill them. Also, how do I raise my ac? Do I have to buy some amulet or something?

=/

it makes me mad..
people want more enemies that threow stuff.. stefan is adding monsters that use magic or use missle weapons.

also the haunted houses r retarded... take out smokeys dievels and heavils and add like Frankensteins Vampires and Wolves -hehe- because this really doesnt relate to haunted houses =P

the smokeys and other smokey type monsters should be found in caves.

Yeah, thats sounds good. The monsters that throw stuff are alright if you can attack them from range, but when you use melee weapons they're very hard to kill. Also there should be monsters that are like in between mushrooms, bomys and smokeys and dievels. Ones that give you more exp than bomys but not as much as smokeys. Ones for the lower people who don't get enough exp from the ones on the main island.

Sigh...

Back in ye olde days when having knights boots was a symbol of power, warriors (yes, warriors) reached lvl7 on mushrooms alone, now people jog round the dungeons at lvl1 killing things and complaining its too hard... if its too hard, kill mushrooms...
But... thats a time thats passed... things are too fast paced nowadays...

What I would rather they did is make new monsters.
Not the same.
All of the current monsters are the same, just a few stats about them are different like cold spray or fire.

I don't want another monster that walks towards you and attacks.
I want some monsters that shoot magic at you or ones that charge at you and try to barge you and when they do they move you back a few tiles.

well if you want throwing stuff from monsters then were gonna have werewolves all over again theyre gonna attack nonstop...
stefan didnt script these monsters well, and it sickens me that he monster doesnt flinch when you hit it because when we get hit we have sometimes like a 2 second timer to walk again...
Wolves are deadly they suck and they jump kick nonstop... if your wearing platemail and you attack one and try to run its over for you because they keep on jumping at you ti'll you die

I meant they would keep their distance and throw some sort of thing at you.
Not like the wolves.
They would be much firther away than that from you.

It's not a scripting problem. At most, it's a design problem.

This is my point, you don't attack the big monsters TILL YOU ARE READY

Well no offence to you or anyone, but I like to have a bit more fo a life than just playing Graal all day. I think that the monsters on the main island give out little exp, but that can be accepted because they're easy to kill. But then the step up from the difficulty of them compared to smokeys and dievils is a big leap. There needs to be monsters in between so you can make your way up.

Go from mushroom/rabits/battle potatoes to shell bomies/evil bomies.
Then you can go for the smokys.
That's what I did.
They give out enough exp.
And if your really struggling party up with a group of people and go kill in mass so you can share more exp.
