Playerworld Idee

today when i was home from school (i'm sick)

I thought of a playerworld that would be like this

It would be quite big, but not that many houses
just a few whit some quests and jobs

Then when you've earned some money
you can build your own house whit furnitures
it will cost diffrently depending on the size of the house
and furnitures will also cost some money
like a bed is 200g.

And when you earn even more you might be able to
open a resturant or some other job that will pay off
more than the basic jobs.

Banks will exist and if someone could script it
you could be able to rob the bank
but if a police finds out who did it you will have
to work in the jail (for money) until you payed of the money
you got whit you and some more as a punishment

Maybe not a good idee but i think it sounds fun :P

In a modern day game that is a simlulation of normal life, most everyone will want to do stuff that they can't do in real life.

So pretty much everyone would be breaking laws, running over people with cars, stealing stuff, etc.

And no, no modern stuff
just old graal, maybe whit an older tileset to make it
look medival.. meaning NO CARS, and robbery will be
quite hard to get away whit

If I understand correctly, then you say they keep the money they stole and then earn that much money to? That's not right. It should be that they don't make any money at all, just do enough work that would be equal to the amount you stole and you would have to return the other money.



Another idea: like in Zelda for GB, some way of stealing money or something like that and if you return, you DIE!!

I like the idea, ive heard this type of idea going around before. We talked about a "build your own house" script on DD before but decided against it. It sounds like alotta fun but would take some serious scripters.

I hate games like that! Only because it ends up like this:

$10000 -Bed [Small]
$100 -Vase [White]
$870 -Vase [Colorful]

Pricaes end up stupid, keep things low pricaed and just dont give lots of money away so people have to work, but there is no real point, work for hours, make a house...... End! No real point in doing it in the first place! So players wouldnt stay.

Well read this

payed of.. if you already spent it so you dont really earn anything
and you have to work some extra as punishment
