Pets have arrived!

There are currently 3 types of pets, you find them on different
places on the main island. These new pets need to be feeded,
they also need to drink and sleep. From time to time they are in
the 'mating time', when you bring them together with a pet of the
opposite gender of the same race then the female pet will lay
an egg. Pets can be 'tamed' by feeding them and giving them
water and touching (grabbing), but it will take some time. Once
they 'like' you you can use the commands 'follow' and 'name
pet'. After some days (or when getting not food/water/sleep)
the pets will die.

Some are east of harmonia, some are north-west if bomboria,
some are in the north (the horse-one)

I abandoned it because it was too slow and would tie me down, I may get one when houses come out, I'll chain it to a post and visit every now and then to feed it, heh.

Why not just use fortifications and keep it inside a little fort then when you need to take him somewhere just chop 1 fortification down and repeat the process

Some more information about pets.
-At 75% of liking you (You can tell if they like you, their weight, their generation, by right clicking them) then you can make them follow you or name them.
-They can swim in the water.

Looks like males are orange and females are yellow...
Also, someone told me that pets like music. Like from warhorns.

And the first to get a "restock" on the pet population
And the first to start research on the pets..

Right now I'm seeing if they can survive off the land... If they can then we dont have to work our asses off to get food and water for them!

Bah, I don't like pets, they destroy my training schedule... they are too slow... make it so you can ride them when they are big enough or carry them when smaller.

when was the last time you saw a squirel that wasn't able to move at least twice as fast as you?
i wanna teach that little guy to cuss, drink beer, and steal but i'm probably gonna have to dump him off somewhere cuz he's so slow

I saw some people with choupas, and they were moving just as fast as they were. Was the pet you had at or above 75% of liking you? If it wasn't, it wasn't really your pet.. if it was, you have to say "follow", I think. :o

Untill pets take awhile longer to die (atleast let them live for 5 or 10 days) I may not even bother with em anymore =X to much trouble for just something that follows you

Pets should live much more then 10 days...
like a month, i mean if you take care of them there is no reason for them to die so quickly.

I'm not going to fool with them until we get Personality EXP for taming them. When that happens, though, I'll have to open a zoo.
