Dungeon Lag Death!
Quite unfair.
I enter the dungeon none of the tiles load they finally load and all the enemies are frozen then the enemies move and freeze and all of a sudden I am warped outside and it says I died.
Now I lost stats and exp and there is no way I could have prevented it and it is quite unfair. *%O)(&+ (_U)(

Since dungeons encourage partys.... and the now coming Magic tourney... many Sorcs are being made... which alot of them cast big laggy spells.... and about 3 can freeze me up and get me killed by monsters x.x

Hmm... scripts should the be optimized =/ I assumed G2k2 would be on the best computer... maybe it needs an upgrade??

The server certainly needs an upgrade, yes. They also need to tone down the AE castings. Maybe sparse the graphic more, less dense, I'd rather have less impressive-looking spells over a loss of 10kxp and a few stats at my level.

I could handle it not being so much serverside, and putting a bit more on the clients. So instead of having all the data on the server constantly sent to the player, it updated everytime the player logs on or when a string is sent to the client? It makes more sense to have the clients indivdually process stuff than the server... which would make it faster

1) I personally hate to point a finger, but I blame the sorcerers. I'm sitting there killing a baddy, minding my own business when all of a sudden some big shot sorcerer has to use the same spell about 5 or 6 times in the exact same area, taking my kill, then eventually lagging me up so I die. It's quite annoying.

2) I think stats loss might be taken off, or so I have heard.

Many of the HAVE to do that though, just to level up. What would you expect them to do?

The whole point is that it is a GAME... things happen. You wouldn't expect everything to be simple and easy would you? Yes, sorcerers are killing it all and they are causing 90% of the lag... for some reason the scripts are lagging horribly. they need to cause LESS lag, so the scripts need to be optimized or toned down. I think it would be beneficial and easier for everyone to just be sorcerers, he he. Sorcerers seem to have the majoradvantage.

Blaming *players* who cast a spell that causes lag is pointless...fixing the spells and making them more efficient would make everyone happy. Sorcerer's have it bad enough...mine slow...can't use weapons...hard to get food...no cash flow...nerfing Sorcerers will only kill the class.
