Upgraded account prices....

I didn't know where to put this:

The "subscribe" thing on Graal2001.com says the "subscription cost only EURO:2 (less than 2 US$)/ month", and so I figure that's U.S. $24 a month, right? And I got a year's subscription, and didn't bother doing my math.... it came out to $39 for the year. That doesn't work out, what happened? Did I pay extra for 2k2 (which is what I wanted anyway), or is the site not up-to-date?

It's worth it, no question, but I wanted to know why I paid more.

I just thought of this last night, I've been upgraded all of 2 weeks...

I think hes trying to say that the site says its 2$ a month so that would be 24$ for a year and he paid 39, he was wondering if he had to pay extra for 2k2.

That site isn't up to date. The economy is always changing, and the Euro currency is now stronger than the american dollar because of the recession.

Yes the site needs to be updated, on some pages it shows the correct price (more like 3.2 $ per month), on others it needs to be corrected (we said 2$ to show how cheap it is because when you see the price of 1 year it might sound high),
but on the page where you see the list of prices everything is correct

Not because he got the answer wrong, because he went "TEACHER WTF YOU BISH".

Thank you Stefan. As I said, Graal is worth it. $24, $39, whatever, it's still a good deal.

Not really...

Especially when you Live in Aus, we get 55(ish) US cents per $1AU so thats 39 * 1.45 = 56.55$ and i mean god damn, i could just go buy diablo2lod or something for that much.

(or i calculated it wrong cause im stupid)

I think you calculated that correctly. You could check a currency exchange site as well. But don't forget the economy of every country is changing every day, so there could be some low points in the market where you could upgrade for half the price for a few days. *shrug*

It costs over 60 dollars for a p2p account in Canada I believe. Which for about 5 dollars more I could get WC3.

I think the price should be brought down a little, because Canada/Australia are both getting screwed and it isn't very encouraging. Especially since at the moment the servers I play are down.

The price should be brought down a little, but not for that reason.

Why? Graal's overall gameplay is of less quality than many games that are out there for cheaper. If Graal is to compete with games such as these, it will have to bring it down to a more reasonable price. It is no where near the calibre of D2 graphic wise. Yet D2 is cheaper. I'm not bashing Graal, I'm saying that people have more demand for games that are visually pleasing and cheap as opposed to not-as-visually-appealing and expensive.

I agree about that, but in the last post you said " because Canada/Australia are both getting screwed and it isn't very encouraging.", and that's wrong x_X

Again I ask, why? Both Canada's and Australia's respective dollar is below the American dollar, and it's excessively expensive in American. Basically, the price should be lowered to accomodate the economies that don't have quite as strong a dollar as the American dollar or the Euro.

I think they should charge a different price (but would be equivalent everywhere that is different) for Europe, US, Canada, and Australia.
It is about $60 Canadian to get a full year here.

It may be visually appealing.

But the guild control thing was down for TWO MONTHS.
When NPC Servers go down on servers, it usually takes a WEEK or more to get back up.
Servers keep crashing every week or so, and they are down for a day or two.

Why are Stefan and Unixmad charging so much for such slow service? I understand they must be busy men, but they should ethier get someone else to help them, or LOWER THE PRICE.

Iracious:

If anyone was staying here for the graphic quality they must be half blind, almost all the people around Graal now stay for the community that has been created around the game. Oh, not to mention that it is fun to create your own stuff.

Oh, not to mention....... THAT'S the BEST FRIGGIN' PART! I almost never buy a game that doesn't have a map editor.... when one of my friends told me about Graal I almost drooled myself to death.....

Yes, you guys just brought up another point. Graal is HEAVILY developed by the players, and is charging them for their own work.

Personally, I think that about 25 dollars American per year is plenty enough. It would certainly encourage new customers.
