We know now that your character stays active on the server, exposed to being hit, or killed, for about ten seconds after you shut off your Graal client, or change servers, right?
Well, during this time, obviously you have no control over your player, and it can be easily killed, and you'd lose a fair bit of experience.
Well, here's an idea.
Why not move the 10 second disconnect time to before the client is closed? During this 10 seconds, your character could be hurt or killed, but you'd have the ability to move it, and control it until the 10 seconds are up. If you are hit during this time, the countdown is destroyed, and you have to wait 30 seconds before you could try to leave again.
With the current state, if this idea was implemented, one could simply save their character(/save or get into a bed), and then use Ctrl+Alt+Delete, or another method.
To combat that problem, there should be a time limit before your character's data is saved.
The same idea goes hand-in-hand with the one above. You would have to wait 10 seconds (be it, in a bed, or in the open) for your character to save. During this time, you could move around, but you could not attack. If you were to get hit, then the countdown would end, and you would have to wait say, 30 seconds, to start the countdown again.
I'd say since the third paragraph's idea is very vulnerable, and could easily be bypassed, but why not take the fourth paragraph's idea?
Take the idea, and eliminate the time the character is vulerable after the client is closed, and then it'd be a great idea.
Okay, with all my babbling aside, what do you think? |
