Playerworld Problems

Lately I've been eyeballing this thread looking at a lot of the problems with playerworlds, and more then 50% of the time it has to do with bad administration. Now what troubles me is that Graal is a money making production, but yet, it is run by incapable youths.

I'm 17, and i'll admit I can lose my temper a few times here and there, but I have enough sense of when enough is enough. In other words, i'm not going to go around making an ass of myself because of something ONE person did to offend me.

Playerworld staff, you need to clean up your act. I went browsing on servers and kept hearing about this "secret playerworld review" and thats the only reason a bunch are starting to work more. You people shouldn't have to be presured to work. it should be a mutual thing. I myself am a bit lazy, but I know when its appropriate to be and when its not.

My advice for the PW Administration team is to try and start making sure that the current servers up are running somewhat ok, before new ones are put up. Saving us all a lot of grief and "I HATE THIS OWNER" threads in the forums...

looks to delteria forums http://forums.delteria.net I dont see anyone mad at the administration there

in fact I think delteria has the best staff of all

now max and SP_Agent arent on much but there is blade and cloven to do stuff in their absence and I think they do a good job I just think we need to have more organized Lats, Nats, and GFX

I'll admit Delteria does have fairly good management compaired to other servers, the only thin I dislike is the lack of attendance by Maximus and SP, they both use to be my friends but once they got ownership powers friendship flew out the window and RC came in through the front door...

Thats why I think that once a PW is up, a PW Inspector should go over it every month or so, to see if it still deserves to be up, if it doesn't then the Psyker/Nemesis will have a chat with the owner and find out what's going on, etc.

Or maybe monthly checks wouldn't be the thing, maybe just random checks every now and then, that way the staff wouldn't be pressured just to work when they know a review is coming up.

How bout this. An inspector visits a playerworld twice a month. And if between that time there is no progress a meeting with the owner is scheduled...

i think that one of the problems is that most staff on servers forget that this is a game and they become too involved and take it too seriously..and thats why they get so frustrated...

sure, they are running a playerworld, but it is still a game and it should be relaxed...

well frustration isnt really a big thing

its mostly people contributing if no one contributes it fails....

if you are too laid back nothing gets done there needs to be some kind of motivation

one of the biggest problems with playerworlds is that the owners hire friends for high jobs, and if the friend gets in an arguement with say someone who can do the job a lot better, the friend always wins the arguement, that's one big problems, another is similar but some owners seem to discrimenate (sp?) against some staff, like they always side with a few staff and they never get in trouble while the other staff will get in trouble for the simplest things

Problem is that if no progress is coming along, the playerworld owners will say that they work on something really big which isn't upploaded yet and that they all work on it offline or something.

But see bad part about this is, that people who read these forums immediately know what to expect. Even in random "check-ups", the inspectors will be using their names, such as "jinx" or "psyker", which will them tip off the RC's and Staff online at the time that something's happening and they will tidy up. The solution to this is, don't use your name, just go there and play like a newbie, and see if you like the server, ask people if this server's any good and if you should keep playing it. That will get other people's opinions about the server, and it won't draw any attention to youd X_x

I think Pyskers not in charge of that anymore, maybe Nemisis should form a small team to deal with that, like a 4 man team, make sure they are doing their jobs correctly and make sure they stop those stupid masses, I go on playerworlds, the GPs are massing negative things, now on classic, you cant mass anything non dealing with the Server, and they incurrage you not to. You should try to go off the influence of classic as much as poossible and make it better from there

It doesn't say anywhere that it's required for PW Inpectors to always wear the same name, we just put on a different head and name.

I hope Psyker is still in charge of it, he IS the PW Admin, is he not? I like Nemesis and agree with what's happening, but I really hope that it doesn't mean Nemesis takes over all of Psyker's duties.

They are trying to cut down on the number of PW Team members. I dont think they would make more positions for it. Anyways its the Inspectors jobs to inspect the playerworlds for things like this...Although I think the owner deals with things like how staff conduct themselves...

Considering that 3D terrain and NPCs on it don't work online on a "type-1" server (only 2k2 has "type-2" so far) I can only work on it...OFFLINE! I also don't like hanging around on my RC for too long because then I get people flooding me with inane questions and wanting to be staff when they are far from remotely even qualifying :/

If I'm ever on my PW, it's to update maybe some of the system NPCs and such to test them online...other than that everything else is performed offline. It's not easy making a PW...but I enjoy what I do...but even I get burnt out
