Japanese Dictionary

Gashi (Greetings).

This is Japanese dictinary. Here you'll find some words that are used often durning Role Playing. I will add more as time passes. Please do not post in this thread, so it will not grow large.

Dictionary:

You realize, don't you, that "Burakku Naito" is pronounced "Black Knight"? It's just an English word (or phrase, in this case) written using Japanese characters.

Well, sorry, but, well, I'm posting again. The reason being, I have some more useful phrases...





Bakamono! - "Idiot" (baka), only stronger.


Omae o korosu - (spelling may be off) I'm going to kill you.


Soo desu ka? - Is that so?


Hai - Yes


Iie - No


Konnichiwa - Good day


Konbanwa - Good evening (Goodnight?)


Soo desu ne? - Isn't that right?


Tanto - Shortest Japanese sword... more like a dagger


Yoroshiku o-negai shimasu - Pleased to meet you (rough translation)

No no. Actually, goodbye is "adiosu" (adios) or "adyuu" (adieu). I took that from the dictionary I posted. Look, get it through your head. The Japanese borrowed a lot of words from English, but that was all after the time of the Samurai. "Bai" is no more "bye" than "biiru" is "beer" or "kouhii" ("h" in Japanese is pronounced similair to an "f" in English) is "coffee".
