Hrm, the wide world of work on Graal, not too wide, is it?...or fun for that matter. Wouldn't it be nice if a job that was actually created that fit into the whole aspect of Graal? Yes, yes it would, and this is why I propose the new job idea I have come up with.
TREASURE HUNTING:
Yes, very simple. A set of ruins with lots of acienct artifacts near Dustari Castle would be discovered by a group of miners walking home one day. Immeadiatly, Birdbird_0 Archelogical Socitey claims the ruins for themselves and sets an office of sort there. One problem though, they have no one that dares go into them as the ruins are trap infested and dark.
What are they to do?...Have Graalians excavate the ruins for them.
The job is simple, Graalians would pay a 10g fee to go through the ruins and search for artifacts while dodging traps and fighting off large bugs...then find a teleporter out and return the artifacts to the Society for Gralats, each artifact would have it's value tallied as how rare it is(such as 2g for a common,7 for a rarer one).
The ruins would be a circle of dungeon levels with randomly appearing chests, traps, and monsters. Chests would contain artifacts or a trap that damages the player...these would be hard to find as the chests would blend into the floor tiles and it would be dark in the ruins(Hey, a use for the Dustari torch). Traps would be slightly discolored floor panels that would do a variety of things(Damage, posion, steal artifacts, make baddies appear, even heal).
Mosters like gigan bugs and such would randomly appear as well for a challenge. Teleporters would be the only way out(disable unstick me), these would be rare and hard to find, but would offer a way out.
If a player dies in the ruins, they'd have to pay the fee to get in again.
If they use a teleporter, they'd have to pay to get in again.
If a player dies, all artifacts are lost.
Player can only hold so many artifacts, but can drop them or view them with a Trading Item NPC for it.
That pretty much sums it up, so people, please post your comments and respond to the poll and see if we can get a FUN job on 2001. No more pressing D repeatedly, and would bring more of a questing aspect to 2001. |
