Official Thread : Andor - A New Beginning

Good Evening. The purpose of this thread is to announce some of the things that have been going on.

First and Foremost, if you haven't already noticed, Bravo Online is no more. We have changed the server name to Andor with high hopes that a new name, coupled with new levels and better activities, will allow Andor to be everything Bravo Online was supposed to be, but ultimately was not.
I would like to take this time to extend an apology to anyone and everyone that was inconvenienced in any way by the problems and issues that were constantly being raised because of problems with the server, and also because of decisions I have made that ended up being detrimental to the structure of Bravo Online. Please know that it did not turn out the way I had intended it to, and I hope that you will all find Andor to be a playerworld that you visit often and enjoy.
I would also like to apologize to all of those people that had hoped that Bravo Online would remain a free playerworld. I have struggled with the notion that it was a bad decision to convert Bravo to a Pay to Play server, and, for quite some time, I believed that it was, in fact, a bad decision. However, over time, I have realized that it is ultimately the best thing for the server.

--OK, now that I have finished the personal portion of this post, allow me to inform you all of the plans we have and updates we are currently making to the server. --

1) New Overworld - Yes, it has come. The new overworld we have spoken of since September is here, and the general consensus is that it is a good one.

2) Playerhouses - We had closed playerhouse submissions for quite some time, but we are now going to be accepting playerhouse submissions. I am currently working on the Andor website, which, when completed, will allow you to go through an automated process to submit your playerhouse. Playerhouses will be administered much like the ones on Graal 2001 are, and the criteria for submissions will be posted on the website.

3)Things to Do! - Finally, after 1 1/2 to 2 months, we are adding actual content to the server. This means constant updating, and frequent additions of jobs and events.

4)Better Staff - I have allowed entirely too much corrupt behavior to go on with the staff, and it is time for a change. I have outlined the rules for the staff members, and we have decided to go with a "3 strikes = You're Out!" program for maintaining staff discipline. Also, there are definitive rights outlined for each staff position that receives an RC, and these rights are basically engraved in stone: Staff Members, you get the rights you need, nothing more, nothing less, and arguments to the contrary will be neither entertained nor tolerated.

I appreciate you all taking the time to look over this thread. I understand that bad things have come from myself and my server in the past, and I intend to not make the same mistakes twice. I only hope that you players are willing to give me a second chance. Thank you.

If someone has worked there for 4 months, they are only allowed to screw up thrice? Maybe it would be better if a staff member loses a strike every month.

Hello Graalians.

Andor has been going great so far. After long, hard nights of working on levels, and scripts, plus all the downfalls we have had, FTP going down, NPC Server Shuting down. We have done great, bounded through the problems, mainly workd around them. Now everything is working great(Thanks Stefan!).

You can expect to see lots on Andor. We are currently working on jobs. Mining was finished today, Berrie Picking should be done soon. We are still filling in our overworld, it is about 70% complete. We are starting on events soon, auction houses, and trading.

Andor will be a RP Realm. Players can RP, or they can not, either way it all works out. Players can take certain roles as towns people, priests, blacksmiths you name it. If you have a role you dont see on there, tell us about it and we will most likely add it if its able to fit in. Different Roles will have abilitys, Priests can use objects in Churchs to heal, and hold Ceremonies.

With this RPing ability, our server should work out great. With our job system, you have to work to get anywhere. With out Gralats, you cant do that much. Transportation will cost Gralats, Gralats you work hard for. Transportation will consist of Trains, Boats, and Chair lifts.

Overworld- Right now it is fairly small, we will be adding to it once we start offical Gameplay. You can check for updates often for we are working around the clock. Our staff is dedicated, and efficient.

Well, 3 strikes could be too soft depending on what they did.

I do have to agree today with the decision of Brandon !
This is the first time in a verylong time me and Brandon are getting along. It is better that Bravo is gone and Andor is up Andor has very good levels the ones that are up anywas Symb did very good with thoes and Brandon was right the staff isnt curopt anymore well not as much as they used to be anyways. It would be Great to see alot of the old Bravo Staff members come back and work on Andor andall of the old Bravo people come and play on Andor if you have a P2P if not just use the ghost mode and see what they have done with it.
