So, I got on yesterday and I was told /party create worked again. I logged off and I didn't have the party anymore.
Why can't we have the party system back? Atleast revert back to the old party script or fix the script. I really liked making my own party with friends like the old times.
Some of the people on Era, including me, think that the good things always get removed. We never get our way.

Just curious, who exactly is this going to benefit? I don't see how perminant party tags are going to benefit the server. Even so, I think a GUI would be far beneficial for the long run.

Well, when you put it like that, it won't benefit anybody, but being part of the staff, you guys should atleast make us happy and give us what we want. Sure, make a GUI but make it how it was, make it how it was fun.

Where is the fun? That's what I'm trying to figure out. Do you magically start having more fun wearing a party tag????

What's the problem with implementing it? It won't hurt anybody. Our voice should be taken into consideration, not just the staff's voice. We're the players.
You can make a group of players you can PK with, maybe make a Party leaderboard of who is the top party. This would encourage PKing since everybody just sits at unstick, theres not even Gang raids anymore, for gods sake

I gave up PKing a month ago when I was undeniably getting 1000 kills a week from sparring and only getting 50 or so deaths.

The players of this new generation just have no real concept of how to get better, they just remain the same level and make any and every excuse to why.

I also gave up gangs a few weeks before that, when the gang I was leading and passed on to a friend continued to win weekly.

I suggest just waiting until someone finally gets in a position to liven up the server a bit, could be a while.

we can't have nice things on era because people complain too much.
we have the people who want the old party system back, and then the people who will raise a **** storm with the argument that they will take away from gang activity (which right now is a very sensitive subject it seems)

where exactly as an administrator do you draw the line to pick a side? it's not an easy call to make, ever, in any situation really.

"it won't hurt anybody" is such an untrue statement. anything anyone ever does on this server results in *****ing from one crowd, and praise from another. it's just a matter of deciding who you want to piss off and who you want to please.

Waste of resources is a waste of resources, sorry electro. I thought this is what gangs were for is it not? the only reason one would have to switch to a party tag is to be a nuisance and not lose points for it.

Parties are more for impromptu, non-gang-related things, like street PKing. Gang bases already autotag you when you go in if you're in a gang.

Especially since nobody raids anymore, there hasn't been a raid since the 2 gangs got announced

Ways a "perminant" party tag can benefit the server:

Group of friends can form small parties for fun and pk together and not have to worry about creating a new party with a stupid ass name every time they log on.

Can keep track of how many quests your party has completed, keep track of all the kills your party has, builds competition. Even if it's not big competition, it's competition.

Can implement weekly prize systems to give a party an incentive to pking and questing together.

Raiding Era Mafia use to be one of the funnest things, especially when there would be 4-5 different small parties raiding trying to take the back room. Should give an incentive to holding era mafia, maybe something similar to what iEra has where they get a percentage of sales from stores.

There's so much you could implement with parties that wouldn't quite work with big gangs thats are always changing members.

parties take away from gangs and there aren't raids to start with. plus i remember when the annoying 5-10 people parties full of noobs would disrupt raids and even end up killing you since you were basically ignoring them to kill gang members
